Steven J. Bowen

Private graveside services will be held for Steven J. Bowen, 58, Galveston.

He died at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in his residence.

Born Oct. 10, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of Richard and Gladys Mae Watkins Bowen. He was married Aug. 31, 1996, to Susan Fissel, who survives.

A 1967 graduate of Logansport High School, Steve had been employed as a fork lift operator at Wilson Foods. Most recently he was employed at Lowes Home Improvements in Kokomo.

Steve enjoyed motorcycles and woodworking.

Surviving are son, Caleb Bowen, Walton; stepdaughters, Lea Ingle, Galveston, and Jamie Chapman and her husband, Jeremey, Plymouth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Diana Bowen, Rochester, and Ron and Nancy Hyman, Lafayette; stepgrandsons, Hardy and Graham Chapman; three nephews; three nieces; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The Rev. Gary Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
