well, as I�m sure you all know, I am having a nice family dinner. I have the table all set in red and pink and even decorated Desiree�s highchair for her too. I got Desi a little stuffed animal and the boys some candy. Andy has his v-day party at school that we are going to so that will be fun too. I didn't think don was going to get me anything. well he did. he got me 4 roses. all different colors. 3 of them were meant to represent the children that we share together and 1 one them was for the love he has for me. it was so sweet and they are so beautiful. he found a tiny white rose which is supposed to be the one for Desi and to symbol her purity and her perfection. I do love him so much. I'm so glad that I have him in my life. Even when he can be a pain sometimes.

We went to the Dr. today. Desiree is right on target developmentally for her age group. She now weighs 18lbs. 3ozs. and 27 1/4 in. long. she is proportional but on the higher end of the scale. My big baby girl. She got 4 shots today. They did not use gloves because of the reactions she has been having lately w/ those bumps on her legs. So if she doesn't break out than that is probably what she is allergic to. Now they did say that if she does break out again it is possible she is sensitive to the Band-Aids. Which could be possible since I myself am sensitive to them. Guess we'll see.

They're back. Friday night Desi started getting her bumps back on her legs from the shots. As a matter a fact they are all up and down both of her legs. All white bumps with red around it. And I know it is bothering her too because when I change her diapers she keeps grabbing and scratching her legs. I called the Dr. today and they said to give her liquid Benadryl and to keep applying the Aveeno lotion we have on the rash and apply warm cloths to keep her comforted. As to the shots in June I have a well baby visit and we will be discussing as to weither or not we will continue to give her the rest of her scheduled shots. I really don't want to have her stop getting them but if she keeps breaking out from them I don't want that either. We'll see what happens. On a good note Desiree has started sitting on her own for long periods of time. Saturday was the first day she really sat well without support. I have given juice to Desi in a bottle...half juice half water...I have given her plain white grape juice and apple white grape juice. she seems to like it so far. also I asked my doc about sippy cups and he told me to start introducing it to her but I don't necessarily have to put anything into it to start. since most of it will get over her instead of her mouth he said once she starts getting used to holding that and taking that to her mouth good then we can start putting the juice in there

Desi is wanting to crawl so badly. Sticks her butt up in the air and even gets up on her knees all the time. Just cant figure out how to do it. Although she sure is moving around backwards everywhere.

well, I think that Desi got a tooth in. it's her bottom left front tooth. let's hope this one decides to stay this time. unlike the last one that was there and the gums sucked it back up. although I swear that other tooth keeps peeking. I just can't prove it to anyone else. but dangit I know this one is there. she was gnawing on my finger pretty hard. don doesn't believe me though because of the last tooth and wont look for himself. well, I�m excited none the less about it.

Well, I just though I would update you all on the Hill front. Boy we sure have been busy lately. I took CNC leave at work a few weeks ago. That's Care For Newborn Child Leave. Anyway, we decided to have me take that so that I could get our house ready for Desiree and getting it baby proofed. Well, then there was a possibility that we were going to get a bigger apt here. Unfortunately our credit shot our chances of doing that. So we are getting depressed about that. So because I didn't know if I was packing boxes or not I have not done anything to get this house ready for our new terror. She is starting to get her butt up in the air and wanting to crawl so badly. Only getting mad because she cant actually figure out how to move her legs. She'll get it soon enough. The last week I have been watching my nephew, who can really be a handful when he gets around Andy. I get to a point of screaming when them two are together. Thank goodness Andy has school while I watch him. So that has made things harder to get things done around here. Oh I didn't tell you guys a few weeks ago Zack broke his foot and is stuck in a cast. He only has to wear it for 2 more weeks. He wanted to be superman I guess, cause he was in the basement at his mom's house and tried to jump from the table to the couch only didn't make it to the couch and landed on the cement floor. Ouch! He's glad it is almost done though. Can't blame him. He is getting ready for baseball soon. So he wants it off now. I am leaving for vacation on Thursday. My cousin is getting married. It will be so nice to go see family up north. It's in Milwaukee, My hometownOn April 7th, the boys and I are going to see Toy Story on Ice. The boys are getting so excited about that. I think it will be really fun for them. Okay well, I'll end this novel. Just thought about updating you all on what is happening here since I hardly post lately. Now you know why.

well we are back. I got in at 10:30 last night. let me tell ya the 10 hour drive back home with 3 kids was heck. they were awake almost the whole time cause it was daytime. the way there wasn't as bad cause it was night time. it was really nice seeing family and friends again. the wedding was absolutely beautiful. Desiree was just the cutest little thing. I�m glad she broke that tooth before we went up or she would�ve been a little crab apple. everyone was in love with her. they all were asking if they could keep her. umm, sure but I think my hubby would get upset. LOL. I also got to see my best friend, it was so nice seeing her. I miss her so much. okay well just a little update on that.

okay, I�m just lazy I guess, first of all Desi does not eat food on a regular basis. just when I think of it. as a matter a fact I brought all this food to feed her and didn't give her one bite of it. anyway, she has tried carrots, green beans, peas, bananas, peaches, rice cereal, umm, I can't think of anymore at the moment. Also she does like to gum on some crackers when I give them to her. I guess I would have to say I definitely do the 4 day rule for foods. She seems to like them all when I give them to her. especially carrots. Desi is still in 6-9 month clothes. she seems to have been right along with her age on her clothes size. which is ironic to me from Andy who grew so fast as a baby is. she wears a size 2 in shoes. just bought up north the cutest little Easter shoes. actually Des can even wear her newborn/small onesies. of course they do fit a little snug, but to me for a onesie I actually prefer it that way.

I also have the Alpha Omega carseat. although she is still fitting in her infant seat. not till she is 21 lbs. will I keep her in that permanently. we need to lower Desi's crib matress, too. heck the dang thing keeps breaking on us. not safe we are going to need to get a new one here. this is the third child using it. Andy had it first then my sister used it and now Desiree.

we call Desiree: Des, Desi, sister, sissy, baby girl, baby doll, girlfriend (w/ that ghetto attitude, lol) and a couple other things too just can't remember off the top of my head. Andy we call Andy, ander, ander panders Zack we call Zack or Michael, not sure why I do that but every once in a while I do that. he does look at me weird too, lol

I am doing all the shots recommended by my dr. Andy has had all of them and absolutely no complications. so I am doing the same. now the dr. on the other hand is holding of on giving Des her next hep b shot because of the rash she got. since that was the first shot she got when she got the rash. although she is still getting rashes from them even though it's not including the hep b shot anymore. it's not the gloves, I am beginning to think that it is the alcohol swab being used.

I decided that we are keeping a few things...just a couple outfits, we'll be keeping her favorite baby doll, and a few other things that we will shove in her time capsule to open in about 20 years.

I�m afraid Des is getting an ear infection but the only symptoms are she is grabbing at her ear and very clingy.

she did it. she crawled so good. and it wasn't just the army man crawl. we were just sitting here and the boys were playing with her. she just started crawling for a toy. it was so cute. woohoo!!!! oh and I gave her a biter biscuit yesterday. yummy, she loves those things.

I'm just confused on what to do with Desiree. I've given her Cheerios the last couple of days and she seems to be doing good with them. Every once in a while she tries to swallow without chewing. But for the most part she does gum it to death before swallowing. And she loves the biter biscuits. I just don't know if she is ready yet for other table foods.

well yesterday was a good day. we woke up and went for an Easter egg hunt. Desi got 5 eggs. of course she didn't care what was inside them, she wanted to eat then. it was so cute. then we went to watch Zack at his baseball practice and played in the park a little. Desi got to ride in a swing for the first time. and was having a blast. after that we were going to go to another egg hunt. but the place decided they were going to shut down early than when they said they would. oh well, we went to the park and sat on a pier off the lake in there. it was so relaxing and so nice. I�m so glad I had a chance to spend such a wonderful day with my children. it is just a reminder of how much I love them and what I live for. when we came home last night we discovered that everyone had gotten a sunburn. Desiree and I had it the worst. I hadn't realized we were outside that long. so we are drinking lots of fluids and keeping that lotion lathered. hopefully Desiree�s will only last a couple days. she's too little for a sunburn. luckily it was just our faces. today we will be doing our own egg hunt here at home. and the Easter bunny has hidden the baskets too so a little extra findings there. Desiree will have her first Easter. I�m so blessed.

Man,workers sure are paying a heck of a lot in childcare. I know around here it averages $100-$175. if not more I�m sure. as I�ve told you all before don and I both work. although I�ve been on a break for 2 months now. but we both work different shifts so that we don't have to pay for childcare. even my parents would charge me. so he works full time days and I work part time nights. it works in the regards of not having to pay extra for daycare. unfortunately we don't ever see each other during the work week because of our schedules. we have found it so nice me being at home here. we actually have gotten to spend a lot more time together here. I�m going back at the end of this month and we are so not ready. although don has been interviewing for new jobs in the Arizona areas and if he gets one of those then I will get to be a sahm cause he'll be making a bit more than he is now. lets pray.

okay the AZ thing I guess I can do. Don has been looking for a new job for a long time. he is constantly having probs at his current one and is tired of the BS. well, he applied all over. not really caring where the job was as long as it was better paying and such. a couple of weeks ago sprint called him from down in Arizona. he had a couple of phone interviews and then called him this past Monday to fly him down for a face to face interview. he went yesterday and it went real well. we won't know for sure if he gets it or not until early next week, but we are so hoping this happens. if so we will be moving to Arizona and I will get to finally be a sahm. although I think I may have to get something so I can pay for my hobbies. scrapping is pretty expensive. I am finally having to go back to work starting Monday. I took a two month leave of absence. and unfortunately my time has run up. I so don't want to go back. I enjoyed being home to take care of my family at nights. we got into a routine. sadly it has to end. although if we move to Arizona that won't be an issue anymore. Zack is doing good since his cast came off. he is still being tender on it. we keep trying to tell him that it has been cleared by the dr. that he can go back to normal activity. he is on a baseball team and doing okay with that. just have to keep getting him going on the foot. he does real well on batting, but gotta get him working on everything else. Andy has another loose tooth. may be a toothfairy visit in the very near future. he is getting very energetic now that the warm weather is here. keeps asking me when the pool is going to open and playing at the park. this kid is wearing me out. LOL! Desiree has been real good. growing like a weed. she is crawling faster and faster to get where she wants. I am so not ready for the walking. I wasn't even ready for the crawling. she is starting to pull up on things. she wont pull up to standing position yet but definitely on her knees. she is just so curious and into everything. I can't keep up. well, I guess I�ll let you all go. hopefully we will have news on the Arizona thing next week. I�ll let you know.

I am not real sure what Desiree�s most daring foods are yet. we are leading a sheltered life when it is coming to food. I would have to say spaghetti has been her most daring yet.

Des did a little tumble off my bed yesterday. landed on the corner of a box and the edge of a laundry basket. she had a little red mark by her eye, got a little shook up but ended up being okay. scared the poop outta me

well, I want to wish all you moms a happy mother's day a day late. my computer dies on me an hour after don left for AZ so I am currently at my mother's house on her puter so can't really do much on here. just though I would give you heads up everything is going good. Andy made me some really sweet mother's day cards and pictures. we later went out to Mc D�s for breakfast and bought me some flowers. at night we went to Zack�s baseball game and met up with Selina and her other 2 kids while we were at the game. suprisingly we got a long pretty well. have fun and talk to you all later. will update you all on things when my puter is back up and running.

well, my computer is currently up and running. so woohoo! it of course will only be for a couple more weeks. it's okay though cause when this baby goes down again it will be because we will be moving within the next week from there. only 3 weeks left till I can see my husband again and head on to our new home. don got down there this past Monday and said the apt is pretty nice except for the fact that we haven�t had air conditioning down there yet. so he has been fighting with the apt. complex for the past week to get that working. hopefully it will be working by the time I get down there. I will not be a happy camper. he started his job on Wednesday. he said so far it is doing pretty good. he hasn't been able to do much just yet due to them not having his computer and phone ready yet. but I think they just got that done on Friday afternoon. I broke my glasses on Thursday. oops, I accidentally rolled onto them. so I called and got an appt with my eye dr. I am now starting to wear contacts. I am finding that I really like them a lot better. only prob. with it is my allergies are in bad shape from me going to my mother's house and it dried out my eyes. makes it somewhat uncomfortable to wear them. but as long as I wet them with drop I�m just fine. I do like them so much more. the kids are doing good as well. getting kinda scared to move, afraid they will lose their friends. but don says that our complex is FULL of children. so it wont be too hard for them to find some new ones. we decided to make a picture address book. so Monday Andy is going to take a picture of everyone in his class he wants to keep in touch with. we are also sending home a note to everyone and ask their parents if they would mind him keeping in contact with the kids and get their addresses. so that will be nice. I am especially worried about Andy with this because unlike Zack he won't be coming back up to Kansas city for the school year. well, just thought I would say hi to you all and let you know I�m back, temporarily.

Okay I took Des to the dr. today. she is doing great and is developmentally on track with everything for her age. She weighs 20lbs even and 28 3/4 in long. she is just growing like a weed. when I woke up this morning with her I changed her diaper and she has developed a horrible diaper rash. it literally was just overnight but it was bleeding and pusing and just red all over. she screams if you even attempt to clean the area. so I showed the doc and he gave me a cream to apply 2 times a day till it clears up. then after that keep Desitin on it on a regular basis to repel the moisture from her skin. well, just updating you all on that. will talk to you all soon.

AHHHHHHHH! We can now actually breathe a huge sigh of relief. We made it. Our home here is very nice. It's about the same size in sq. footage. only now we have a three bedroom instead of only a two bedroom. so even though it seems a little smaller it really isn't. we are getting new boys for all the kids. Desiree already has hers and seems to really like it. we are getting the boys theirs in a week or so. we live in a nice complex here too. the pool is real close so the kids are going to be enjoying that alot. the drive down here was rough. on all five of us. I think I had it the worst though. I had no air conditioning in my car and the entire way we drove the sun beat down on my side. at least with the kids that drove with me they had shade. anyway my ENTIRE left side of my body is the worst right now. as a matter a fact it is still sizzling and baking right now and we have been here for 24 hours now. ouch is all I can say. now for the updates - well Zack is officially 10 years old now. it's hard to believe how fast time flies. it has been 3 years now almost to the day since I have had the pleasure of having him come into my life. he did have a nice birthday party. made out with some serious cash for a 10 year old my goodness. I am so proud of him. both of the boys are out of school officially now. Zack is now going into 5th grade and Andy is going to start 1st grade down here in Tucson. Zack we are sending up to his mom for the school year. Desiree is so sweet. she is starting to get into everything. we decided that we are going to put our 60 gallon fish tank in her bedroom since we don't have that much room to fit in this house and it would go perfect with her rainbow fish nursery theme. I think she will really enjoy something like that. nothing really new in milestones in the last couple weeks. but that is quite alright by me. she is already growing too fast for me now. she is actually 10 months old today, wow. only 2 more months and she will be one year old.

Desiree is still eating jarred baby foods. But I have to say that the jarred baby foods I am talking about are the Gerber graduates now and it is accompanied w/ table foods. Not the mushy stuff. Thank goodness she can feed herself now. I was so bad at giving her the mushy stuff I had to feed her. With two older kids and a hubby I didn�t have the time to always do that.

How do you know when a child has pink eye. Desiree is getting really red in the left eye. She keeps rubbing it and it is so watery. You can tell it is irritating her. If it doesn't clear up by tonight do you all think it would be a good idea if I take her to the emergency room? I don't know if it is anything I should be worried about. Don ran to get me one of those prepaid calling cards so I can call my dad for father's day. once he gets here I�m making spaghetti for dinner

Well I don't think that she has it. I was just being a worry wort I guess. Later that evening it was back to normal. So I guess it was just a reaction to something but worked itself out.

Andy and Desi are doing the same thing. Andy lost another one the other day. He has now lost 5 and Des has 3 with one more almost out. We are on the fast track aren't we? Kinda weird to have kids the same age to compare to.

Well, Desiree now has two pairs of teeth. Her top left one finally came in to accompany the right one yesterday. Now she is really going to be chompin. Yeah. Day before yesterday we had a lightening storm. No rain really just the lightning. Anyway it blew out our power for over an hour and a half. Then yesterday morning they had to completely change out the entire electrical box to get our supply to fully power. How weird is that. It got kinda warm here I�ll tell ya that. On Monday we all went to the Tucson zoo. Bad mommy I didn't take my camera and it was Desiree�s first trip to the zoo. Total scrapping opportunity and I did not have my dang camera. Oh well, she did have a blast that day. She liked the animal�s alot. We are going to take a weekend trip one of these weekends and go to the San Diego zoo. It�s only about 6 hours away from here and it is supposed to be the best zoo in the nation. Don and I are such zoo buffs. It would be so fun doing that. Saturday Andy lost his 5th tooth. every time Desi gets one Andy seems to lose one. Although Andy is 1 up on Desi. As she only has the 4 teeth in. Well, I suppose that is all for this update for now. I am still giving Desi formula until she hits her first birthday. That is what WIC always told me when I was on it with Andy. I actually have found myself referring alot to the things I was on with Andy for nutrition

Wow, we sure did have a good day. We went to go see the Tucson mountains. Went to a particular one called Mt. Lemmon. Some of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen in my entire life. We took some pictures. I hope they turn out great. Went fishing and site seeing. We also have found a great site for us to go camping. We are really looking forward to that trip now. Anyway, just had to share what an absolutely great day the 5 of us had today.

Well, we have come to an end to our Independence day for they year of 2001. I must admit it has been a very interesting day. Well, we woke up in good spirits thinking of the things we would be doing and reminiscing about how we got to this point by all the men and women how have died for us and for our freedom. So Don goes out to get some propane for our BBQ. Well he gets out to his car and finds the window to his car pushed down, the dashboard ripped out and the car stereo completely gone, not to mention all the CD�s he had in there. The car was completely locked up, the thief just happened to rig the window down so he could get in there. We figure the guy got scared off at that point cause he never did go to the back of the car to get the rest of the stereo speakers or any other stuff we had in there. Thank god for that part. Well, after calming down from that and trying to put that out of mind so that we could enjoy our day. We had some new friends that we met come over for our BBQ. Man Don is an excellent cook. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken legs, corn, potatoes, (are you hungry yet) watermelon, potato salad, regular salad, ice cream sandwiches and brownies. All I gotta say is YUMM!!! This couple has 4 kids, the two older kids were at their grandma's house, and the other two had a blast. One of them was Desiree's age. They were so adorable together. But if they got to a sippy cup, they were both just fighting for that cup. Desi would scream like she was at a total loss when she couldn't get it. It was actually pretty funny. After they left we went to a carnival and saw fireworks. Definitely a good time. The kids got their hair colored and face painted. Zack was commented on having the most original face painting. He decided he wanted across his forehead the word "KING" on it. She did that and then put arrows all around his face pointing towards his forehead. It was hilarious. Andy got on his arm "CHIEFS" to show his spirit for his football team. Desiree got a picture of a little flower. It was too cute. I couldn't take any pics, WHAH!, because I forgot my dang camera. I keep doing that lately. By the time we got home and I could take a pic Zack sweated of the KING and Desi rubbed hers off too. The only one that had anything to show for it was Andy. The fireworks show was awesome. We all were quite impressed with it. Desiree was entranced at first with all the lights and sparks from them. After a while she got scared though cause the banging wouldn't stop. She clung to me for dear life. Poor baby, she did pretty good though for her first July 4th. Well, I should cut off this novel. How cute is this. desi just started dancing for the first time today. she always stops and stares whenever she hears any music. but today she actually started dancing to the music.

It's hard to believe that 2 weeks from today Desiree will hit her first birthday. It doesn't seen possible for time to fly this fast, but sure enough it has. It's even harder to believe that Andy is already 6 and Zack is already in the double digits 10. Next thing we know they're all going to be grown up. I love them so much I don't want to have them growing up. Don's mom is coming down here for Desiree's birthday. It's going to be great. I want to do a rainbow fish theme but I don't think that is going to be possible, unless Don let's me ship it quick over the internet here. cause i don't know where i could get them at a store. These next two weeks are going to be quite busy. Tomm is Don's birthday, This coming Saturday Don's mom is coming to town, Sunday through Wednesday Don and I are getting to go to Las Vegas thanks to his mom. That Friday is my and Don's anniversary of 3 years and then Saturday is Desiree's birthday. my oh my, what fun we will be having. I'll keep you all updated how everything goes.

yesterday was Don's birthday, he is now 29 again =-) Anyways, Desi decided to give Daddy a little surprise and start clapping for the first time ever. She also started to give kisses. Of course they are the open mouthed kind but still just as sweet. All last night and this morning though she just couldn't stop clapping for everything.
