We are celebrating Desi's birthday today. She demanded a chocolate cake and has been for the last 4 weeks and the last 2 she decided she wanted a Dora party. So that is what we are doing today. So far she has opened up about half her gifts which is a new Barbie, Care Bears movie, Dora baseball cap and Land Before Time 9 movie. She still has a lifejacket type floatie for the pool and a little makeup kit, she is going to be so excited. We have a Dora cake for her that I will post on here when I get the film developed. My cousin Jason was going to come over today to help celebrate today, unfortunatly I got a message from him last night saying he can't make it. His stepfather-in-law just got back from Kuwait and wanted to take them out to dinner. So we are going to have him come over tomorrow for a little bit and have some left over cake and stuff. Would have waited to do the whole thing for tomorrow but Desi is too excited and I wanted her to have it today. My parents are getting Desi some Dora Live tickets for her birthday. So Desi will be so excited to go to the show (and quite frankly I am too, hehehe).

Desi has been really easy to train for day time. No accidents for the most part. Now anytime she sleeps that is another issue. If I try to get her to sleep with panties on she will almost always be wet. The problem is she is attached to those fcsahralih bottles. We have been trying to get her to stop by just filling up with water for example, but NNNNOOOOOOO!!!! It's not worth the fight. My daughter is so crabby when you tell her no that we eventually just give in. Anyway, I'm not going to push her too hard. When we can get rid of those damn bottles I'm sure she will be easy to potty train for nighttime, but I don't mind a pack of diapers a month or so. Much better than a pack every few days.

I can't wait till i get rid of our bottles. but i will say this, as they are getting ruined and lost and what not they are not being replaced as they once were. So once all are gone that's it and Desi is just going to have to deal with that.

Desi - couple of things have happened in her life within the last week. She has started daycare, which seems to be doing good. We call it school for her since the boys are now going to school. She doesn't freak out quite so bad when we drop her off. The daycare center is okay. Desi calls it her Green School, LOL. This past Friday Desi and I went to go see Dora the Explorer live. Thanks to my mom and dad. It was so fun. Desi on the way home kept singing the songs and playing with her shiny star they got for attending. She also got a little Dora flashlight which she was really enjoying. I am going to havee fun making the scrapbook pages for that show.

Desi always just comes up to me and tells me "Mommy you're my best friend" in such a sweet tone. Although, lately she is getting new best friends from school. Nicholas, Ms. Rachelle (her teacher), Brandon and a couple others she mentions. Not that I know who any of these kids are, but she likes them.

Desiree wakes up every night still. I rarely get a full night sleep. Just something triggers her to wake up and when she does she just cries. Last night she was up 3 times before I asked Don to take care of it and all he did was bring her in our bed to sleep. It's driving me crazy. I can't figure out why at 3 years old she is still not sleeping through the night. But it's going to drive me crazy once I have this new baby and her both waking every night.

For Halloween we had a lot of fun. The kids got the stash man. I had a friend from work invite us to her house to trick or treat. Really nice house and newly developed area so not much kids TnT'd. So we got a ton of stuff because everyone was still wanting to get rid of their stuff. Andy went as the Grim Reaper and Desi was a cat. Zack was on vacation with his mother for a week and a half so he wasn't with us. Don and I dressed up too. Don was a Chiefs football player and I was a witch.

You know, when Andy gets in trouble we use his middle name James. Now Desi thinks that is a common thing so she will call him Andy James quite a bit. And lately has been calling me Mommy James and Don, Daddy James and Zack, Zack James. You see where i am going here, now everyone has James in their name, LOL.

It's been exactly a week today that Desi got off the bottle. Same thing with her, it wasn't by choice. I forced her to throw them all away so she could see it was happening no more. She has asked me a few times for a baba, but after reminding her that they are all gone she will do with a cup. So far we are doing okay.

It's now 11:30 here and we have all opened up our gifts. My MIL came up here and we had a nice day. I get to make a Christmas ham this year. Desi got spoiled and the boys got the new game system X-Box. Oh and of course we found out what we are having. It's going to be another girl.

I have my ultrasound tomorrow for them to get the accurate heart measurements. So I will be excited to see her again. And Don will be able to go with me too. Desiree is getting excited to see the baby as well. She went with me today and is doing so good so far with the thought of a new baby sister.

I had my other ultrasound today. Everything was great. Faith is still a girl. They did get good measurements of her heart this time. Beating at 142 per min. Last ultrasound on the 23rd she was 8 oz. In three weeks she has almost doubled her weight at 15 ounces. I was surprised at how big she has gotten. All the measurements still showed a few days before my actual due date of the 26th. They are showing at about the 23rd. Her hands were both up at her face for pretty much the whole time. We got to see all ten fingers and all ten toes. And we got really good shots of the hands and arms numerous times. Desi came with and she was excited to see her baby sister. Couldn't quite understand all she was seeing, but was blabbing the whole time she was in there. Well, just want to post how it went. Oh and BTW, the horrid heartburn has been showing up since Sunday night. Fun, Fun. Grin.

Oh and Desi is starting to get more involved with the baby now. The three of us were sitting in my bed and Don was patting my belly saying that his baby girl was in there. Desi burst out in tears not knowing what to do as Don always refers to Desi as "his baby girl". Awwww, felt bad, but she will realize that it's just an addition, not a replacement.

Yesterday Desi brought up the fact that Faith was coming. Since she brought it up, I thought I would elaborate a little more on the issue. So I was telling her how she would be a great big sister. She said "Yup". So I asked her is she would help get diapers for her when I needed them. She got this very serious face on her and said to me "Ummmm, no. I'm not big enough yet to get diapers." The look on her face was so funny and she had her lips all pursed up. So apparently she is willing to help with everything else, but the dreaded diapers, LOL.

I took Desiree and I to the local WIC dept on Thursday. I got accepted, which is great. So now I got a little help on some foods. They got on me though about not eating enough fruits, veggies and grains. Got to up that. I have to see a nutritionist next month.

Desi is trained throughout the day. Sometimes she has a tendancy to pee her pants once she is in the potty. You know like drips left over. I'm working to get her to understand she has to use toilet paper when she pees or poops. Naps aren't as successful, that is if she takes one for the day. She has a tendancy to pee in her pants at that time. Night time she is not trained at all. We just got her off the bottle a few months ago and she is still in her crib. So it's hard for her to wake up and pee if she has to. However, I am thinking of making changes with her crib and make that her toddler bed and go from there. Guess we will see how that works then start working on the night time potty training.
Well I made a move today and took down a side of Desi's crib. She is all excited to see it's like a big girl bed. I'm rather nervous. I personally like her being in the crib. I know she isn't going to go anywhere. However, I guess the time has come that my baby needs to get another big girl jump in life. We got her off the night time bottle December 1st and now this. Next step will be the night time potty training.

Last week at the grocery store we were in the dairy section. I'm choosing some yogurt for me and Desi to eat and here comes Desi - "Mom, I tooted!!!!" and instead of just saying it once, I am trying to brush it off and she continues to tell me over and over again until I said something. The stockman was getting the biggest kick of the 3 year old telling the world she tooted. Then today we are at the store again. As we are walking on our way up to the cashiers line we are walking behind a larger woman. Desi - "Mom, look her butt is moving!!!!" Oh my gosh, I about died on that one. I just hope that poor woman did not hear Desi and that we were a little farther away from her.

Desi has a fear of flushing public toilets really bad. She has gotten better about it, but they are so much louder than a regular toilet that she freaks every time. And she has had a few auto-toilets go off on her while she was still sitting on it, so that didn't help much. Well she still gets a little nervous about it. However, after a while of me reassuring her that she won't go down the drain with the water and that it's just noise, she is getting used to it. She still stands back when I need to flush it, but she will at least now use it. And with the auto ones for a while I actually had to hold her to give her reassurance.

when i set up my baby registry i had desi come with me and we picked out the outfit we are going to bring her home in. desi doesn't have the patience to feel her kick. she will put her hand on my belly but won't hold it there long enough to feel the actual kick, she makes her hand move and says that is her kick. LOL. And last night she was carrying her Strawberry Shortcake doll like a baby, holding the head and everything trying to get her to stop crying and go to sleep. It's funny how young girls understand it all and seem to enjoy it.

Desi is getting excited for Faith to get here, keeps talking about her. My belly button hasn't popped out yet, so we keep telling her that when my belly button pops out then Faith is just about ready to come. It's funny cause she will ask me if Faith is done cooking yet so I pull up my shirt to show my stomach and we just look at each other and nope, she's not done cooking yet, LOL.
