Gosh it has been such a long week. I get home from a long day at work and then my daughter clings to me like glue. I have been so fustrated with it all. Desiree, the stink she is being, I think she is teething. She had her 18 month well baby check up yesterday. She now weighs 24lb. 2oz. and is 32 in. long. 50% for both. She screamed bloody murder the entire time the dr. was checking her out. I swear I could not get her off of me. And when he is trying to listen to her lungs and she is clinging to me let me tell you that is not easy. When she is in a good mood though she is a sweetie. She likes to climb in her little chair all the time. Whenever she is watching t.v. she has to be in that chair and if some one so much as puts a foot on that chair she screams and throws a fit until you get off. It is funny. She is really into saying "Peek a Boo" and "Good Girl" now. Kind of funny, it is almost as though you don't have to praise her anymore as she will do it herself. lol.

I have been so busy with work. It's been doing good. Although I am ready to either be hired on as a permanent employee (fat chance) or have my assignment end soon. I just hate not being invovled in a lot of the all employees events because I'm a temp even though I am there every day. Ah well, what can I do. Our trip to Vegas was a lot of fun. I really did enjoy seeing my mom again. It is only the second time I have seen her since I moved. Much needed. The kids had such a blast. We really worked hard a trying to find family stuff to do. There is actually to much that we couldn't do it all in two days. So next time (if we take the kids with) we will plan things a little different in matter of priority. I also got to see my cousin Jason. I haven't seen him since some time before I even had Andy so it was kind of wierd but cool to see him again. We went to his magic store with my mom and he did some magic tricks for Andy since he didn't believe I had a cousin that could do magic. He was so enthralled to see real magic. Couldn't believe it. After we were done with that the next morning him, my kids and I all went out for breakfast. I could kill myself I actually did not take any pics of us together. Haven't seen him in Years and I didn't take any pics. Me the camera freak. Ah well, maybe next time I am up there. Zack is down here right now. We are trying to do things with all of the kids. I want to get family pictures done but Don is too ashamed to get them done right now. So I figure that I will just take Desiree soon and get her 18 month (more like 19, maybe 20 mo by the time I get there) done. He is leaving on Thursday. Kinda sad wish he could stay here all the time. Only a couple more months till summer than we have him for 3 months. Okay well I'm going to let you go. I'm posting some new pics.

Okay where do I start with all we do today. Okay I guess I'll start at the beginning. We woke up, hehehe. Andy's school had a pancake breakfast this morning so we went to that. It was pretty good. During the breakfast they did a magic show and some other kind of talent play thing. After the breakfast we had our Easter Egg Hunt. Desiree got to see the Easter Bunny. At first she was scared of him, so I walked with her in my arms to see him and get a picture taken with him. She warmed up after we were done with that enough that she even went up to the bunny to get a closer look. Unfortunately he was getting ready to go and didn't see her by him. He walked right over her. It was kinda funny but scary for her. She was okay. She even went back to him when he came around again. She got 18 eggs in the hunt. Andy only got 6 eggs. I wasn't with him when he did his hunt cause they seperate it by age group and he was in a different area. Okay so we all came home and took a nap. When Desiree woke up she got her first haircut today. Just cut her bangs they were in desperate need for the last month or so. I was just nervous to do it, but I finally got the courage to do it myself and got it cut. Around 2 Andy had an eye doctor appt. Apparently he is having troubles seeing at school so we went to get them checked out. Sure enough he needs glasses. I am going to try and get them ordered soon so he can see. We saw a cool pair at Lens Crafters but they don't take our insurance so we couldn't get them. I have to look somewhere else. Then on the way out of the store his tummy was upset. My guess was nerves but I took him home and he crashed. I took Desiree to JC Penny's today. Got some adorable pictures. Will post them when I get them in my email. She did so good. On the way out of JC Penny's I walked past a jewlery shop and noticed a sign where they will pierce for free if you by the earrings. So, I got Desiree's ears pierced today. She freaked for like a second and then relaxed. She is so cute. They are little gold stubs. In a little bit we are still having to color our eggs and clean the house for the Easter Bunny tomorrow. Whew! I'm glad the day is almost over. Wonder what will go on tomorrow for Easter Sunday. Talk to you soon.

Apparently Desiree had descovered how to pull her diaper off. I guess by what Don said she has been doing this all day. Still petrified of the toilet though. I tried to take her to it since she pulled off her diaper with me and she freaked and ran away. I think Don is going to have to pic up a baby potty this weekend to get her started.

I went to San Diego this weekend to meet some friends from my online August 2000 Moms board and I'm now home. It took me about 7 hours. Got lost getting to the highway I was supposed to get on. Actually I got lost getting to my friend Andrea's house on Friday too. Something about that highway she kept sending me on. Just could not get it straight. We were going to go to the zoo on Sunday but I didn't go to the San Diego Zoo with Helen and Andrea. I just felt that if I went and got all tired out from being there it would have gotten too hard for me to drive home. Not to mention Don and I have always wanted to do that as a family thing so we will go at a later time this summer. Andrea's kids are too cute. This morning I woke up and Summer came up to me instantly and gave me a snuggly little hug, and kept doing it through the day. She hasn't felt good the last few days and it was really cute that she came to me. It was as though she knew me forever. Really sweet. Helen's son Isaac kept staring at me the ENTIRE weekend. Just checking me out. He was just so bright eyes and curious with everything going on. Seth and Desi are the same size except Desi has a few pounds on Seth, not much though. Helen said that she could eat Desi with her chunk and pick her teeth with Seth, lol. I know I said this with my friend Laci when we met and felt the same with Andrea and Helen, but it didn't seem like we were meeting for the first time. Really was comfortable and able to talk about whatever. It was so nice. As a matter a fact when Helen was saying goodbye and told me it was great to meet me, I was like what we are meeting, lol. Well Duh. Anyways, Helen will post pics hopefully tonight or tomorrow and I will get my film back soon and post some pics from my film too. I can't wait to see what Helen got. I'm sure most will have Zachary in them as he is a poser, lol.

Well at 7:30 this morning I got for the first Mother's Day yet my breakfast in bed. Woohoo, it was so nice and Andy was so proud of himself for helping out so well. Don told me that since we are broke he wanted to do that for me since we can't afford to get a gift. Well, okay, I don't need gifts, that made me feel good enough for it all. Desi was sleeping so she didn't get to join us all in my bed for breakfast. That's okay though, we made her some fresh toast when she woke up. Andy made me at school a cup made out of paper with a bag of tea in it, a card and a coupon book with some chores that he normally doesn't do that he will do for free. It was really cute and you could see he was excited and wanting to know he did a good job on it. He has been helping out all morning. I love this stage.

Well it has been a little while since I have done any kind of an update. So I guess I should do something. Don - still no job, he really is looking hard. He has a job interview coming this week, maybe, hopefully this will be the one. I mean come on somthing has to come along. He doesn't seem too awful bad and grumpy anymore which has to help. He's not sick and in pain anymore which is really letting him refocus on the job scene again. He was really hurting for a long time with these infections in the right side of his face. His mom is in town this week, yee haw. She got the kids some toys. Andy a computer game and Desi a make up kit. Which she is a little young for it but thinks she is so grown up with it, so hey let her play with it. Me - This weekend I got sick. I was three days late from my period and I think the stomach bug I had might have been part of it. Bad thing is I gave it Don and Desiree also. Luckily Andy doesn't seem to have it. Although I have my suspicions that he was the one that gave it to me in the first place. Anyway, I'm still working at KB Home with the temp work. They had me test with the company to try to hire me a few weeks ago. I took the test and passed really good, but turned down the job they were trying to hire me for (I was only relief for a person that the job is for). Today they asked me if I would reconsider and to take the job. They would pay me $4 more an hour than what I am getting now, but with it comes a lot more responsibility. Kinda nervous about it, but going to tell them tomorrow that I will accept that. By doing that it is basically confirming that we are going to stick it out here in AZ instead of quitting and moving back to Kansas City just to live with my mother in law. So wish me luck on this job and that the transition goes smoothly. I am nervous about it. Zack - Well we are supposed to have him for the summer and he has been out of school and we still don't have him. Apparently Selina is being a bitch about it and trying to minimize they amount of time we are going to get with him this summer. He is going to be 11 on Saturday. I can't believe how old he is getting. He passed 5th grade and will now start middle school this next fall. Those teenage years are right around the corner. That is pretty scary. Andy - Well he is also out of school now. Last Thursday was his last day. I went through his backpack and found tons of awards. He had 2 achievement awards, a no tardy award and treat for dairy queen, a certificate for being a great math student, a bumper sticker for making the honor roll for the last two quarters and a little graduation certificate for passing the first grade. He also got his last report card and had all 4's and 3's which are the best marks he can get. He is doing so well. I really think that us staying here will also help him as he is definatly established here. I don't want to mess that up. Desiree - My little cutie as usual. She is getting more testy with things and has a little attitude. When she starts throwing her fits we loudly and firmly say "Desiree" and she stops in her tracks, so that is working for now. The hitting is actually worse than the screaming though. She is getting better with her speach too. Not a whole lot and she mostly still mumbles a lot, but she will say a lot more than she used to. I was talking to my sister yesterday and let Desi talk to her also. She sat on the phone just mumbling and carrying on her own converstation and when she was done talking to Auntie Jodie she would push the phone away, wave good bye and say "Bye, Bye" It is so cute. She thinks we can see her on the other end waving good bye. My girl is gong to be such a femmie and I love it. Like I said a little earlier, Grandma got her a makeup set. She comes up to me to put the nail polish on and open the lip gloss. The body gel we just let her have as it is in a tiny tube and she will just walk around covering her arms, belly and face in the stuff. She also loves her baby dolls so much. I think she is starting to prefer them more than those noisy toys. She has a little doll house she is addicted to playing with. If we can't find her in the house and notice she is being too quiet we often can find her in her bedroom playing with her baby dolls. Okay I am done with this long update. Sorry it is so long, but that is what is going on in the Hill family lately.

The potty training thing has me real confused. She will sit there on the potty, she will wipe when she is done, she is now able to tell me when she is going "poo" (as she calls it) in her diaper but still won't actually go in the potty. Anyways, I assume she is almost there. I'm still waiting patiently. Or as patient as I can since I really don't have a choice in the matter. She is getting even more excited with Blue's Clues. It's funny cause when she sees Blue she will just scream "IT'S BUE" and she likes to point out the clues on the show or online. "A CLU, A CLU". She is getting more vocal and more active. She likes to scream this ear piercing screech, she almost blew out my ear the other day. Oh and another thing, Desiree and I take showers together. Last night when we were taking our shower she was doing the cutest thing. Desiree and I both have our own loofah sponges, I was cleaning my body and noticed she started cleaning her body too. So I started saying to her okay clean this part and she would do it as I was, I said clean your leg and she lifted it just the same way as I would and started cleaning her legs. It was so smart of her to do everything as I was. Shows me that she is really starting to understand things. Anyways, I could go on, but I won't. Just a happy little update.

We are going to take a little trip come August to San Diego again. Only this time it is the whole family going and we are going to the San Diego zoo. One of the best ones and for Don and I having zoos be our thing we are so psyched about it. I am going to see my friend, Andrea, and her daughter, Summer, again and she is going to get us discounts for the zoo for all of us. It will be fun. Anyways, just excited about it and wanted to share. Oh one thing real quickly too about Desiree that has been just cracking me up. Everytime she burps now she covers her mouth and says "cuze me" It is hilarious and if anyone does anything that might look like it hurts, she keeps asking us "K???" Until we tell her that we are okay.

We are back from San Diego. Wow what a trip is all I have to say. We got in at about 7 and had a 32 in pizza. Largest pizza I have ever seen. On Friday we all went to Sea World with Andrea and her kids. It was so awesome. I can not understand why it is known as one of the best places to visit. We got to see the famous Shamu. We went to the night show and all I have to say is WOW!!! Desiree absolutly loved it. Kept saying "ohhhh, Shamuuuu" The boys all sat in the 2nd row of the splash zone. They loved it and got so soaked. After the show Andy got so cold he was shaking and had to take off his shirt just to get the wet off his skin. Don and Andy got a lovely taste of salt water. Yuck. We all got to feed the Sea Lions and the dolphins. They are so pretty up close. I swear if Desi could swim and we would have let her she would have just jumped in with the dolphins. She was in such an awe with them all. Saturday we went and saw the ocean. It was the first time for all of us but Don. The boys really had fun. Andy almost got sucked under by a wave but thank God Don was right there to catch him as the wave caught him. Desiree kept playing in the sand. Was afraid to play in the water there. Didn't even want her feet in the water. We were going to come back home after the beach but by the time we were done with it all we were so covered in sand and worn out that we went back to Andrea's and had banana splits. MMMMMMMM!!! They were some delicious splits and made this whole weekend end on such a sweet note.
