District Camp at Lac Adair---Our Millennium Camp

Opening ceremonies took place with everyone on Saturday morning outside of Youngston, which is where the Brownies stayed. The Sparks came up for the day of Saturday and shared the building. This flag was designed and made by Joanne, as was our crest.

Our Senior Branch girls spent a lot of time preparing for the time capsule. Here one of them is digging the hole!!

The girls went on a hike and had to explore as close to the water edge as possible. Here the 2nd Lakeside Heights Guides were just enjoying the great fall colours, until one girl stepped to close to the water...... both feet went i n much to her surprise.

It takes a lot of girls to cleanup at closing time!!!!!! I never thought we could fit so many of them working so quickly in such a small area. :)

At the closing ceremonies we took many pictures of the whole gang.

A few girls hanging around after the closing ceremonies. Noone wanted to go home. It had been a great weekend, weather wise and fun wise.

 Food Drive- 5th Annual

We had 39 girls go door to door on the streets of Lakeside Heights collecting food and money for food baskets and to fill the local food pantry.

This picture was taken after the drive was over and we brought the food over to the food pantry. It took a mini-van and a station wagon to bring all of the food collected to the pantry.

We were able to put together 7 baskets. $400 was raised, less food though was collected than last year.
