(All of the words the girls spoke were written in big letters on pieces of paper taped to the floor in front of the girls. They read them in unison.)

Script:

(Takes place on the upstairs stage. Parents are cleaning house. New Brownies are playing..)

Parents: There is too much work and too many children. No one ever helps. These kids have to go!

(Sweep new Brownies out w/the broom).

(New Brownies go down the stairs and stop at the bottom, "Parents" go down other stairs and stand by the "trees")

New Brownies: We're lost and we're hungry. What should we do?

(Look at candy house).

Look, there's a candy house, let's go eat it!

(New Brownies go to candy house)

Witches: Nibble, nibble little mouse. Who's that nibbling at my house? Come inside.

(Witches pull the new Brownies into the house).

We'll eat you for supper!

New Brownies: We have to escape!

(They push the witches into the oven).

(New Brownies run out of the house and down to the woods. "Witches" take off hats and join the "Parents")

Brownies: We're the Brownies, here's our aim Lend a hand and play the game

New Brownies: Who are you?

Brownies: We are Brownies. You freed us from the witches spell.

New Brownies: Can we be Brownies too?

Brownies: Go ask Brown Owl & her friends

(New Brownies go to Brown Owl, other Brownies go to the pond)

New Brownies: Can we be brownies too?

Brown Owl & friends: Can you say your promise?

(New Brownies say the Promise and the Law)

Tawny Owl & Brown Owl: (Takes the New Brownies down the path of stepping stones made of coloured construction paper. Each one has a one or two that shows things the girls did to become Brownies...ie. learn promise, learn law, learn motto etc)
