Julia: (noticing that her little sister looks sad) �Mackenzie, what�s wrong?�
Mackenzie: �Nothing. I�m fine.�
Kimberly: �Mackenzie, don�t bother to lie. You have it written all over your face. You look like your puppy just got run over by a truck.�
Mackenzie: �I got my period.� She sighs. �Again.�
Alexis: (understanding) �I�m sorry, Sis.� She smiles a little. �But you have to remain optimistic because it takes time to get pregnant.�
Mackenzie: �I know. And I know that I am acting like a two year old by sulking.� She picks at her salad. �But I really want a baby.�
Sierra: �How long have you been trying?�
Mackenzie: �Officially? About three months.� She sighs.
Alexis: (sighing too) �Do you want mine?� she winces a little. �I�m more than willing to�� she trails off as she looks at Sierra and Kimberly.
Sierra: �Alexis? What was that supposed to mean?�
Kimberly: �Don�t tell me that you�re pregnant again, Lex.� She looks at her closely. �Alexis?�
Alexis nods meekly. Kimberly and Sierra are shocked. Mackenzie and Julia grin.
Sierra: �Congratulations, Lex! Wow, a fourth kid!�
Kimberly: �I don�t know whether to love you even more or hate you for still looking so perfect after having two kids and being pregnant with a third.�
Alexis: (grinning) �I�ll assume that is your way of congratulating me, Kim, so thank you.� She laughs. �Christian Nathaniel Ashton will be born on August 15.�
Sierra: �What a great name!�
Kimberly: �Alexis, I am so happy for you. I can�t think of anyone else who deserves to be happy like this.� She turns to Mackenzie and Julia. �I am assuming that you two already knew about this?�
Julia: �We found out by accident.� She winces as she is kicked by the twins. �I can�t believe that I�m due in three months. I look like an elephant.�
Mackenzie: �You do not. Stop that, Julia!�
Julia: �You know, we decided to change the names.�
Alexis: �To what?�
Julia: (smugly) �Can�t tell.�
Mackenzie: (amused) �Why not?�
Julia: �Changing the subject�.� She grins.
Kimberly: �You know what? Jillian has been over at my house for the past four days working with Scott on their case. She actually asked me to cook her a skinless chicken breast with no butter or seasonings because she was planning on staying for dinner.�
Sierra: (laughing) �Are you for real? Did you do it?�
Kimberly: �Hell no. I ordered a pizza.� She grins. �She picked off everything but the cheese, blotted the grease with about ten napkins and ate about half of a slice.�
Alexis: �Sounds like Jillian.� She rolls her eyes. �I can�t believe that Scott likes her.�
Kimberly: �Neither can I. And even worse, Serena likes her. She thinks that she�s cool.�
Mackenzie: �Are you serious? Serena likes Jillian?� she grins. �And what does Jillian think of Serena?�
Kimberly: �It is kind of strange. At first she treated my poor little daughter like a fly that kept buzzing around her, but then after a while, she started talking to her and actually acting like Serena was a human being. And now,� she grimaces. �They watch MTV together when she and Scott take breaks from working.�
Sierra: �I just can�t see Jillian watching MTV with a nine year old.� They all laugh.
Just then, Julia�s pager goes off. She looks at it and sighs.
Julia: �I have to get back to work. I am expecting a call from London.�
Sierra: �We have a staff meeting to get to.� She rolls her eyes. �Have you ever seen Scott conduct a meeting? No offence, Kim, but he acts like he�s leading Congress.�
Kimberly: (rolling his eyes) �I know, I know. In fact, he knows too.�
Alexis: (sighing a little) �You know what we need? A vacation.�
Mackenzie: �You can say that again. Time away from rainy Port Charles� in paradise, with gorgeous men rubbing suntan lotion on our backs.�
Sierra: (joining in) �Laying on a beach, sipping margaritas�.�
Alexis: �And me the whale.�
Julia: �And me being Shamu�s sister.�
Alexis: �Are you calling me Shamu, Julia? �Cuz you�re having twins!�
Julia: �Okay, you can be Shamu junior.� They both start laughing.
Mackenzie: (to Kimberly and Sierra) �I am ashamed to call these two my sisters.� She grins. �They are the low self esteem pregnant poster girls.�
Alexis and Julia both glare at her. Mackenzie grins innocently.
Mackenzie: �But back to the idea of a vacation, why don�t we?�
Sierra: �Why don�t we what?�
Mackenzie: �Have our nanny watch Avery, Brooke, Hannah, Olivia and Serena and all of us and the guys jet off to some paradise-like location for a week or two?�
Julia: �You are on drugs, Sis. What? Are you going to close down your law firm?�
Alexis: (blurting out) �We�ll leave the guys home! Greg and Scott and of course, Jillian, can run the firm, Ned, Scott and Stefan can watch the kids and we can leave!�
Sierra: �Are you two serious?�
Kimberly: �I sure hope so.�
Mackenzie: �What do you guys think? Maui for a week? Cassadine Industries has a condo there.�
Alexis: �I am so there. I could use a tan.�
Julia: �Count me�. And my two portable children too.� She grins. �Geez, Cassadine Industries has a condo in Hawaii? I am totally working for the wrong company. Barrett Enterprises has a summer home in Tibet. Why Tibet? Who knows. My father was a weird man. Even worse, J&J Jacks of Alaska has a fishing cabin in the freezing woods and Jax loves to go there. He keeps trying to get me to go. I don�t do igloos.�
Everyone laughs.
Mackenzie: �Sierra?�
Sierra: (grinning) �I would love to.�
Kimberly: (laughing) �So we�re really going to do this?�
Mackenzie: (excited) �Yep. How about next Friday?�
They all smile at each other and then start laughing.
Early that evening.
Alexis, Kimberly, Julia, Sierra and Mackenzie are all headed home from work to tell their families that they are going to Maui.

All five men sigh at the same time. All five women grin victoriously.
The Ashtons� house. That night.
Ned is sitting on their bed when Alexis comes out of the bathroom in blue flannel pajamas with clouds on them. Her hair is up in a ponytail.
Ned: (seeing her) �Nice outfit, Lex. Going for the Ally McBeal look?�
Alexis doesn�t answer him. She pulls the covers back on her side of the bed and slides under them.
Ned: �Alexis? Is there some reason why you are not speaking to me?�
Alexis doesn�t say anything. Ned sighs and rolls onto his side to face her. She glares at him and rolls over onto her side.
Ned sighs audibly. After a moment, he can hear Alexis sniffling, her back still to him. He sucks up his pride and rolling over, pulls her into his arms.
Ned: �Baby, what�s wrong?�
Alexis doesn�t say anything. She doesn�t fight him as he holds her close, but she remains silent.
Ned: (trying one more time) �Alexis, I would really like to know what�s wrong with you.� He strokes her hair gently. �If it is me, than I am sorry for whatever I did.�
Alexis still does not utter a word.
Ned: �Princess, you know that I would never make you cry on purpose because it rips my heart out when you cry. Now will you please tell me what I did?�
Alexis: (softly) �It�s more what you didn�t do.�
Ned: �What are you talking about?�
Alexis: �You said that I could go to Hawaii.�
Ned: (confused) �I thought that you wanted to go.� He smiles a little. �After all, you managed to bully Stefan into letting Mackenzie go.�
Alexis: (beginning to cry for real) �I don�t want to leave you.�
Ned: (holding her against him as she turns around in his arms and buries her face in his chest) �Lex, what do you mean? I am not understanding you here.�
Alexis: (softly) �I�ve never gone on vacation without you. And what if something happens to Hannah or Brooke or Avery while I�m gone? Or if LocaMeow runs away? Or if Brooke�s soccer team makes it to the playoffs? Or Hannah starts talking? Or��
Ned silences her by gently kissing her lips.
Ned: �First of all, we will be fine. Second, you�re a sweetheart to worry. Third, seeing as how Avery carries her cat around, it would never have a chance to make it out the front door. Fourth, Brooke has three games left before they decide the playoffs, and last, it is doubtful that Hannah is going to start talking. She is only eleven months old.�
Alexis: (sheepishly) �I guess that you think I�m pretty stupid, huh?�
Ned: (kissing her again) �No, I think that you are a woman who loves her family very much.�
Alexis: �I wanted a family my whole life. And even though I have one now, I still worry sometimes that it could all disappear in a second.�
Ned: �Alexis Brinna Ashton, you have nothing to worry about. You and I are going to be married until the end of time, or at least until we�re babysitting Hannah�s grandchildren.� He smiles. �Our great-grandchildren.�
Alexis: (in a soft voice) �I love you, you know.�

Meanwhile. Jax and Julia�s Penthouse.
Jax and Julia are sitting on opposite couches, glaring at each other.
Jax: �Julia, do you understand where I am coming from here?�
Julia: (furious) �All I understand is that you are a pigheaded jerk.�
Jax: �I am going to let that comment slide due to the fact that your pregnant hormones are talking. I just don�t want anything to happen to you.�
Julia: (icily) �Exactly what do you think is going to happen to me if I go to Maui for a week with my friends? I am not even due for four more months. I am not going to do anything to endanger the twins, Jax, if that is what you mean. I am not going to go parasailing, I am not going to fall into a volcano, I�m not going to go scuba diving in shark infested waters. Hell, I�m not even going to be drinking anything but milk.� She is on the verge of tears.
Jax opens his mouth to cut her off, but she continues before he can.
Julia: �Jax, I all I want is a few days alone with my friends in a nice warm place. I want to lie on a beach and eat pineapple. I just want�. A break. Why can�t you understand that?�
Jax: (softly) �Because the last time that the woman I loved said that she needed a break, she plunged off a cliff and into the ocean and I never saw her again.�
Julia: (finally understanding) �I know. That woman that you loved was my sister.� A tear falls down her face. �I am so sorry, Jax. I wasn�t even thinking about,� her voice cracks. �About Brenda. I�m a terrible person. Sometimes I just go on with life, thinking about meaningless things like what I�m going to have for lunch and what movie you and I are going to rent on Friday night and I forget�. I forget that my sister is dead.�
Jax gets up off of the couch and walks over to where Julia is sitting. He gets down on his knees and pulls her into his arms.
Jax: (in her ear) �You aren�t a terrible person, Julia.�
Julia doesn�t say anything. She just sags against him, her head on his shoulder.
Jax: (softly, pulling her closer) �Well, Princess, have fun, be careful and bring me back some sugar cane.�

The group has gathered at the airfield where the ELQ jet is waiting to take the girls to Maui.

Stefan: �Sure. Some sand.� He grins. �And Christabel wants a grass skirt.� He leans over and kisses her.
Mackenzie: �Don�t miss me too much.� There are tears in her eyes.
Stefan: �Don�t you dare cry, Mackenzie!�
Mackenzie: �Why not?� she sniffs.
Stefan: (laughing) �Cassadines don�t cry.� He smiles. �I love you.�
Mackenzie: �I love you too.� She smiles a little. �Well, I�d better go before I start crying full force. So, I will see you in a week. I love you, Stefan.� She starts walking towards the plane.
Stefan: (calling to her) �Hey, Mackenzie! One other thing!�
Mackenzie: (turning around) �What?�
Stefan: �Bring back a grass skirt for yourself. You can model it for me!�
Mackenzie: (laughing) �Okay.� She grins. �Will you model it for me?�
She can hear Stefan start laughing as she turns around and walks away.
Jax: �I put another bottle of sunscreen in your suitcase. The aloe vera kind.�
Julia: (throwing her arms around him) �How can I leave you?�
Jax: (kissing her gently) �Go. Get on that plane and have a blast with your friends.�
Julia: �I�ll call you when we get there.�
Jax: �You�d better call at least five times a day.� He grins. �I want a full report on how you are doing, Julia Michelle Jacks!�
Julia: (kissing him one more time) �Say good bye to the twins.�
Jax: (leaning down to kiss her stomach) �Goodbye, my precious babies. Have fun with your mommy.� He stands up and kisses Julia once more. �And you have fun too.�
Julia: �I�d better go.� She walks away from him and then turns around. �Hey, don�t get lonely without me!�
Jax: (walking over to her) �Can I call you at three in the morning if I can�t sleep without you beside me?�
Julia: (kissing him gently on the lips) �I�ll be waiting for your call.�
She walks away, leaving Jax smiling lovingly at her.
Alexis: (staring into Ned�s eyes) �I don�t know if I can leave.�
Ned: (holding her close) �You can.� He hugs her tightly. �Just don�t go fall in love with some surfer guy, Mrs. Ashton.�
Alexis: (kissing him gently) �Never. You�re all I will ever want, Mr. Ashton.�
Ned: (discreetly stroking her breasts) �I�ll miss making love to you.�
Alexis: �It�s only for a week, Ned.� She smiles. �Besides, we�ll have a lot of fun making up for lost time.�
They both start laughing as Ned kisses her lips gently.
Ned: �I love you, Mrs. Ashton, and it makes me so jealous to know that you�re going to be lying on a beach in a revealing swimsuit and I won�t be able to see you.�
Alexis: (gesturing to her stomach) �You�re hardly missing anything.�
Ned: �Call me when you get there.�
Alexis: �I will.� Her eyes fill with tears. �I don�t know if I can sleep without you. I�ve never left you except for a couple days.�
Ned: (wiping away her tears) �Don�t cry, Lexi. You�ll upset me even more.�
Alexis: (looking into his eyes, which are filling with tears) �I can�t do this. I�m staying here with you. We can spend the rest of the day making love.�
Ned: �No, Princess, as much as I would love that, your friends would be crushed if you didn�t go.�
Alexis: �Okay.� She sighs. �I�ll see you next week, EJ.�
Ned: �Have fun, Brinna. And don�t worry about the girls. We�ll be just fine.�
Alexis: (kissing him quickly) �I�d better go.� She hugs him tightly. �I love you.�

Alexis walks away to the plane, and when she gets to the staircase, she turns to blow Ned a kiss. He blows one back.
Sierra: �I�ll bring you back some macadamia nuts.�
Justin: (looking at the ground) �Okay. I love them.�
Sierra: �Justin, I�m so sorry that we had to cancel our dinner tonight.�
Justin: �It�s okay. I�ll take you out for a welcome back dinner next week.�
Sierra looks over at Alexis, Kimberly, Mackenzie and Julia, who are heading for the plane.
Sierra: �I�d better head over there.�
Justin: �Okay.�
Sierra: �I�ll see you in a week.�
Justin leans over and kisses her gently. She kisses him back, dropping her bags on the ground and wrapping her arms around him.
They can feel their friends� eyes boring holes into their heads, but they don�t care.
Justin: (his lips inches from hers) �I am REALLY going to miss you.�
Sierra: (sadly) �I am really going to miss you too.�
Justin: �You�d better go, Sierra.�
Sierra reluctantly pulls away from Justin and picks up her bags. She begins walking towards the plane and is at the ladder when Justin calls to her.
Justin: �Hey Sierra!�
Sierra: (halfway up the ladder with Julia in front of her) �Yeah?�
Justin: �I love you!�
Sierra looks totally shocked. So do her friends. Justin looks mortified.
Kimberly: �Oh my God, Sierra! That is the sweetest thing!�
Sierra still looks shocked beyond words.
Justin: �I�m sorry!� he walks towards the plane. �I had to say it!�
Sierra climbs down the ladder and walks over to him. He opens his arms and she runs into them. He nestles his face in her hair.
Mackenzie: (yelling, from the plane�s ladder) �Sierra, get back here! We�re LEAVING!�
Justin: �I�m sorry, Sierra, but I had to tell you that I love you. Because I have never felt this way about a woman before and I think that we belong together.�
Sierra: �I�. I�.�
Mackenzie: �Sierra! The pilot says for you to get on the plane NOW!�
Justin: (looking into her eyes) �I just wanted you to know.�
Mackenzie: (yelling, from the plane doorway) �Do you want to be left here?�
Sierra: �I�.�
Mackenzie: (yelling, from the plane doorway) �Sierra, now!�
Sierra: �I have to go.� She runs back to the plane and races up the ladder.
Justin stares at the ground, shocked and a little hurt.
Sierra: (turning around) �Hey Justin?�
Justin: (looking up) �Yeah.�
Sierra: �I love you too!�
Justin: �Really?�
Sierra: �With all my heart!�
Justin: �I�ll see you in a week!�
Sierra: �Bye.�
She heads into the plane, her face flushed and a huge grin on her face.
When she walks into the cabin of the jet, her friends start laughing and applauding.
Alexis: �That was so romantic!�
Mackenzie: �Sorry to be a hardass. I didn�t want to have to leave you here!�
Sierra: (throwing herself into a chair) �Yeah.� She sighs. �And you know what?�
Kimberly: �What?�
Sierra: �I really do love him.�
Pilot: (over the speaker) �Ladies, please fasten your seats and prepare for takeoff.�
As the ELQ jet taxies down the runway and lifts into the air, Sierra stares out at the clear blue sky.
Sierra: (whispering) �See you in a week.�
Mackenzie: (from behind her) �And now, let the fun begin!�
They all start laughing as the pilot turns the plane west and heads for Maui.
