Kimberly and Scott wake up on their couch, fully dressed. Scott�s arm is wound around her waist.
Scott: (in a low voice) �Good morning, Mrs. Baldwin.�
Kimberly: �Scott, I am so sorr...�
Scott: �Save it.� He smiles down at her. �I think that we got through all of that last night. I still love you, Kimberly. I�m not pleased about what you did, but I could never stop loving you. We have too much to give up on.�
Kimberly: �And I�m sorry for overreacting about you and Alexis. I was just so scared that you were falling for her because of what I did.�
Scott: �No way. Alexis is a great friend, and apparently, a great kisser, but my heart belongs to you, Kimberly Angela.�
Kimberly: �But what about Morgan?�
Scott: �What about her?� he pulls her closer. �She is more than welcome to live her. Provided that she is willing to do her own laundry. I have enough trouble with mine alone.�
Kimberly: (laughing) �I don�t think she knows how, but we can teach her.� She smiles. �She�s a very sweet girl, and I think she�ll be a good sister to Serena and Olivia.�
Scott: �Speaking of Serena, how are we going to tell her about this?�
Serena: (coming down the stairs) �Tell me about what?�
Kimberly: �Serena, come sit down here. We need to talk to you.�
Serena walks down the stairs and comes to sit down next to her parents.
Kimberly: �Serena, there is no easy way to tell you this. You have a sister.�
Serena: �I know. Olivia is asleep.�
Scott: �No another one.�
Serena: �You mean Karen?�
Kimberly: �Nope. Serena, you know how Karen is your daddy�s daughter but she has a different mommy?�
Serena: �Yeah.�
Kimberly: �Well, I have a daughter. She has a different daddy than you though. Her name is Morgan and she is twelve.�
Serena: (surprised) �Is she nice?�
Kimberly: �She�s very nice. You�re going to like her.�
Serena: �Is she coming to live here?�
Kimberly: �Part of the time. Do you know Gregory, the man who works with me?�
Serena: �You mean Monica�s friend?�
Scott: �You could say that.� He snickers. �Serena, Gregory and Mommy were boyfriend and girlfriend once and they had Morgan together.�
Serena: (confused) �Why is she only going to be here part of the time?�
Kimberly: �Morgan is going to live with her dad sometimes too.�
Serena: �Oh.� She slowly smiles. �I�m going to have a big sister?�
Scott: �Yep.� He groans. �Now I know how Ned feels. Four girls and him.�
Serena: (excited) �This is so cool! When do I get to meet her?�
Kimberly: �She�s coming over for dinner.�
Serena: �This is totally awesome!� she stands up and gives Kimberly a hug. �Mommy, thank you for having another daughter! I can�t wait to tell Avery!�
As she tuns off, Scott and Kimberly smile at each other.
That night. The Firehouse.
Kimberly, Scott, Morgan, Serena and Olivia are eating a dinner of spaghetti and salad.
Morgan: (wiping her mouth with a napkin) �This is an excellent dinner, Mr. Baldwin.�
Scott: (impressed with her manners) �Morgan, please, call me Scott. After all, you are my step daughter.�
Morgan: �Okay... Scott. So, I was wondering when I get to move in?�
Kimberly: �Whenever you�re ready to... and we replace the bed in your room.�
Scott: �Today is Tuesday, what about Thursday afternoon? We can go get all of your clothes.�
Morgan: �Oh, I only have two suitcases. I went to a private school so I mainly wore uniforms. I don�t really have any causal clothes.�
Scott: �Luckily for you, your mother is a born shopper. I�m sure that she�d be willing to take you to the Gap and Wyndhams.�
Morgan: �So, what school am I going to be attending? My dad said that I�m going to be starting school tomorrow. He got me a binder and stuff.�
Scott: �Port Charles Middle School. It�s a public school, right by Serena�s school.�
Morgan: �Serena, what grade are you in?�
Serena: �I�m in fourth.� She smiles. �I like your earrings. What grade are you in?�
Morgan: (smiling at her new sister) �Thanks. I�m in seventh.� She frowns. �I hope that I make some friends.�
Kimberly: �You will.�
Morgan looks around at her newfound family and slowly smiles. Kimberly sees her looking around and smiles too.
December 19, the night of the Fire and Ice Ball.
Ned and Alexis are still not formally speaking to each other, but they are being civil. Kimberly and Alexis still want to kill each other though.
The Ashtons� house.
Ned is standing at the bottom of the stairs, straightening his tuxedo bow-tie, when Avery and Brooke come running down.
Brooke: �You look so handsome, Daddy!�
Avery: �Wait until you see Mommy.� She and Brooke smile secretly at each other.
Ned: �Well, you two look pretty good too.� He smiles. �Like princesses.�
Avery is wearing a maroon satin party dress with a huge petticoat. Brooke is wearing a hunter green velvet dress with a petticoat.
Ned: (looking at his watch) �Alexis! Come on! You�re going to make us late!�
Alexis: �Just a second.� She turns off their bedroom light and then proceeds down the stairs.
Ned�s jaw literally drops when he sees his wife.
Alexis is wearing a slinky dress made of dark red satin, with spaghetti straps, a deep v-neck that shows cleavage, and an indecently high slit that goes up her right leg. Her hair is loose around her face and she is wearing diamond earrings and a matching necklace.
Ned: (recovering his voice) �Wow. All I can say is wow.�
Alexis: (amused) �We�d better get going.�
Ned, still staring at Alexis, manages to turn off the lights, and they leave the house. Hannah had been dropped off at the baby-sitter earlier that evening.
The Vasarri Room.
When the Ashtons arrive, Julia and Jax are just coming through the doors. Jax is wearing a custom made tuxedo, and Julia is a vision in a cr�me satin gown, with one shoulder. (Think Alexis� black first date dress on GH)
Ned: (kissing Julia�s cheek) �You look amazing.�
Jax: �I could say the same for your wife, Ned. Alexis, you look stunning.�
Alexis: (smiling) �Thank you.�
Just then, Mackenzie, Stefan and Christabel come up.
Stefan is wearing a tuxedo, Christabel is dressed in a black and white velvet dress, her blonde hair curled into ringlets, and Mackenzie is wearing a silver sleeveless glittery dress that shows off all her curves. Her blonde hair is up in a messy ponytail.
Ned: (looking at her) �I am proud to call you my little sister.� He laughs. �But I want you to put something on over that, young lady.�
Mackenzie: (laughing) �I think that Stefan will protect me from the big, bad wolf.�
Stefan: �Alexis, Julia, you two look amazing.�
The small group continues to talk as Monica and Gregory arrive separately, and head straight for each other.
Gregory: �Monica, you look beautiful.�
Monica: (dressed in a black sleeveless satin dress) �You look dashing, Gregory.�
Gregory: �Are you sure that it�s okay if we sit together?�
Monica: �I have no intention on sitting with my family. Lucy called, she�s going to be about a half hour late, so she asked Alan to be the MC.�
Gregory: �You�re kidding.�
Monica: �Nope.� She rolls her eyes. �Welcome to the circus.�
Just then, Kimberly, Scott, Serena and Morgan walk in.
Kimberly looks like a model in a midnight blue princess gown (the same style as Carly�s engagement party dress from GH), her hair up in a bun. Scott is wearing a double breasted tuxedo, Serena is dressed in a white satin party dress with a petticoat underneath, and Morgan looks older than twelve in a dark purple long gown with spaghetti straps and matching heels.
Morgan: (going over to Gregory) �Hey, Dad.�
Gregory: (shocked) �Morgan, you look amazing. Where did you get that dress?�
Morgan: �Mom took me and Serena shopping.� She smiles. �Hi Monica. I like your dress. It�s very elegant.�
Monica: �Thank you.� She smiles at her. �How�s life at Chez Baldwin?�
Morgan: �Not bad at all.� She grins. �I like being an older sister, and I really like having a real family around, instead of a bunch of servants.�
Monica and Gregory smile at her. She smiles back.
Across the room, Scott comes walking up to Alexis and gently kisses her cheek.
Scott: �You look amazing.� He looks carefully at her. �And a lot more rested than the last time I saw you.�
Alexis: �Yeah, I�ve been sleeping a little better.�
Scott: �Have you and Ned made up yet?�
Alexis: (shaking her head) �Not officially.� She shrugs. �We both said some things to each other during our fight that may be hard to get over.�
Scott: �He loves you.�
Alexis: �I know. At least I think I do.� She looks over at Ned, who is talking to Kimberly.
�So, how are you and Kimberly?�
Scott: �We�re good. We�re working through our issues, and Morgan and I are getting along great. She�s a really nice girl.�
Alexis: �That�s good.� She smiles a little. �Let�s go talk to our spouses.�
They walk across the room to Kimberly and Ned, just as Ned gives her a hug.
Kimberly: �Ned, you�re a great friend. I�m glad that you understand what I�m going through.�
Ned: �Of course I do.� He smiles. �I mean, with Brooke and all...�
Kimberly: �What about Alexis?�
Ned: �Alexis will come around eventually.�
Alexis: (hearing him) �Excuse me? Alexis will COME AROUND? Ned, are you siding with her? Why are you even talking to her?�
Ned: (mad) �Alexis, Kimberly is my friend. I have every right to talk to her.� He sneers a little. �You know, I�m not keeping an eye on you and the man who you kissed!�
Alexis: (seething) �You are so infantile!� she storms off and goes to talk to Julia and Jax.
Scott: (hitting Ned in the arm) �Ned, that�s not what I meant when I told you to talk to her.�
Ned: �She just makes me so mad!�
Kimberly: �I have a feeling that it�s a mutual feeling.� She gestures over at Alexis, who is watching them carefully. Her eyes are glued on Ned.
Scott: �Promise me that you and Alexis will talk sometime soon.�
Ned: �I will. I swear. But there is no way in hell that I�m singing with her tonight. It�s either me alone, or nothing.�
Across the room.
Julia: �Alexis, you have to talk to him. I mean really talk to him.�
Alexis: (seething) �No, and there is no way that I�m singing with HIM tonight.�
Jax: �Alexis! You have to!�
Alexis: �No. No, no, no a thousand times over. Little old Eddie Maine can do it himself.�
Jax and Julia exchange a collective glance and then they roll their eyes.
A half hour later.
Sitting at one table in the Vasarri room is Alexis, Mackenzie, Stefan, Christabel, Julia, Jax, Nikolas, Bobbie and Jerry. Sitting at another is Ned, Scott, Kimberly, Claire, Monica, Gregory, Morgan and Emily.
Alexis and Ned are half-glaring/half-staring at each other.
Mackenzie: (whispering in Stefan�s ear) �Look at them. They can�t even take their eyes off each other. That�s hardly what I�d call furious with each other.�
Stefan: �Oh, you know that they�re just waiting for the other person to apologize.�
Just then, the curtain goes up and Alan walks out onto the stage, carrying a microphone.
Alan: �Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the second annual Nurses Ball.�
Voice in the audience: �This isn�t the Nurses Ball!�
Alan: (confused and drunk) �It isn�t? Than what am I doing here?� Without warning, he walks off the stage and out the door of the Vasarri Room.
Everyone looks shocked beyond belief.
Just then, Alan comes back through the other side of the double doors, grinning.
Alan: �Sorry I�m late. Traffic was a nightmare.� He walks to the Quartermaines� table and sits down. His family stares at him.
Everyone around the room starts laughing but Alan doesn�t even notice.
Mac: (going onto the stage) �Well, I have no experience doing this, but I�ll be the MC until Lucy and Kevin get here.�
Everyone begins to applaud.
Mac: �Okay, on behalf of General Hospital, I would like to welcome everyone to the second annual Fire and Ice Ball.�
Everyone claps as he goes on, looking at Alan�s cue cards, which he dropped.
Mac: �All proceeds of tonight go towards various charities at General Hospital, including the renovation of the Tanya Jones Daycare Center, and the addition of rooms in the Stone Cates AIDS wing.� He pauses as he reads. �This night promises to be one of enjoyment, so let�s get the ball rolling. The first act tonight is �Jesus, Born on this Day,� sung by Dara Jensen, with accompaniment by the Port Charles High School Choir, and the Port Charles Elementary Angel Choir.�
Everyone applauds as he walks off stage. The curtains open to show Dara, in a long gold dress.
The backdrop of the stage is a evening sky, with stars and snowflakes.
As the instrumental opening of the song begins, a group of high school students, in maroon choir robes, comes out to stand on the risers. Following them is the Angel Choir, dressed in white robes and halos, which includes Avery, Brooke, Lucas Serena, Lulu, and ten other little kids.
Dara: (singing) �Today a child is born on earth.�
Angel choir: �Today a child is born on earth.�
Dara: �Today the glory of God shines everywhere, for all of the world.�
Dara & PCHS choir: �Oh Jesus, born on this day, he is our light and salvation. Oh Jesus, born on this day, he is the king of all nations.�
Dara: �Behold the lamb of God has come.�
Angel choir: �Behold the lamb of God has come.�
Dara: �Behold the savior is born, sing of his love to everyone.�

As the last few bars of the song fade away, everyone begins to applaud and scream for the performers.
Ned looks over at Alexis, who has tears running down her face. Next to him, Kimberly is also crying. They are totally touched by their childrens� singing. He smiles to himself.
Monica: �Ned? You know that thing that I�m supposed to announce? Are you sure that you want to go ahead with it?�
Ned: (still staring at Alexis) �Go ahead. It�s going to be just fine.�
A half hour later.
Lucy: (dressed in a dazzling green evening gown) �And now, ladies and gentlemen, the divas of Port Charles��
The curtain goes up, revealing a snow filled background and a pink sky. The guys all look at each other, realizing at that moment that their wives are gone. The instrumental opening begins to play over the loudspeakers.
Julia: (coming out) �I don�t want a lot for Christmas.�
Monica: (following her) �There is just one thing I need.�
Kimberly: (following) �I don�t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree.�
Mackenzie: (following) �I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know.�
Alexis: (following) �Make my wish come true... all I want for Christmas is you...�
Bobbie, Emily and Claire come running out behind them.
They are all wearing white hip-huggers, white platform boots, and glittery white silk tank-tops with open white jackets over them. They all look gorgeous.
They go into two lines of a dance across the stage. The guys look totally shocked.
Claire: �I don�t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need.� She turns left.
Bobbie: �I don�t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree.� She turns right.
Emily: �I don�t need to hang my stocking, there upon the fireplace.� She turns left.
Julia: �Santa Claus won�t make me happy with a toy on Christmas day.� She turns right.
Monica: �I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know.�
All: �Make my wish come true... all I want for Christmas is you, baby...�
Alexis: (dancing forward) �I don�t ask for much this Christmas, I don�t even wish for snow.�
Kimberly: (dancing forward) �I�m just gonna keep on waiting underneath the mistletoe.�
Mackenzie: (dancing forward) �I won�t make a list and send it to the North Pole, for Saint Nick.�
Bobbie: �I won�t even stay awake to hear those magic reindeer click.�
Emily: �Cause I just want you here tonight, holding on to me so tight.�
All: �What more can I do? Oh baby, all I want for Christmas is you... You...�
Claire: �All the lights are shining, so brightly everywhere.�
Monica: �And the sound of children�s laughter fills the air...�
Julia: �And everyone is singing, I hear those sleigh bells ringing,�
Mackenzie: �Santa won�t you bring me what I really need, won�t you please bring my baby to me?�
Alexis: (crooning) �Oh I don�t want a lot for Christmas, this is all I�m asking for.�
Kimberly: (crooning) �I just want to see my baby standing right outside my door.�
Bobbie: �Oh, I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know.�

They bow, and as the curtain goes down, everyone screams and applauds for them.
Ned: (when they return to their seats ten minutes later) �You never told me that you were doing that, Alexis.�
Alexis: (frostily) �You never asked.�
She sits down in her seat and looks straight ahead. Ned just sighs.
Stefan: �Mackenzie, you were great.� He smiles. �You all were.�
Christabel: �Mackenzie, you were so awesome!�
Mackenzie: �Thanks you guys.� She smiles at her family.
Just then, Ned gets up and walks off.
Alexis looks mildly surprised, when, ten minutes later, Lucy comes back on the stage, wearing a red gown and makes her next announcement.
Lucy: �And now, to make all the ladies swoon, is Mr. Ned Ashton, singing Oh Holy Night.�
Alexis looks like she is going to throw up.
Julia: (hissing) �Aren�t you supposed to be singing that TOGETHER?�
Alexis: (weakly) �Yes.�
Jax: �Well, I suggest you do something about it.� He gestures at the curtains, which are beginning to go up, revealing Ned.
The instrumental section starts, and Alexis begins to panic.
Ned: (singing) �Oh holy night, the stars are brightly shining. It is the night of our dear savior�s birth.� He looks out at Alexis.
Julia: �Alexis, do something!�
Alexis takes a deep breath and gets out of her chair.
Alexis: (walking onto the stage and facing him) �Long lay the world, in sin and error pining, till he appeared and the soul felt its� worth.�
Everyone claps as she finishes her first verse. Lucy quickly hands her a microphone.
Ned: (smiling at her) �A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.�
Alexis: (in a clear soprano) �Fall on your knees, oh hear the angels� voices.�
Both: (smiling at each other) �Oh night divine. Oh night, when Christ was born. Oh night divine, Oh night, Oh night divine.�
Alexis: �A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.�
Ned: �Fall on your knees, oh hear, hear the angels� voices.�
Both: (Ned in a deep baritone, Alexis in a clear soprano) �Oh night divine. Oh night, when Christ was born. Oh night divine, Oh night, Oh night divine.�
As their voices fade away, they stare at each other, love and forgiveness in their eyes.
Everyone begins to applaud. Their friends start whistling and screaming, even Stefan.
Ned: (in a whisper) �I love you, Alexis Brinna.�
Alexis: �I love you too, Ned. I�m so sorry.�
Not caring about the fact that they are still onstage, Ned puts his arms around Alexis and kisses her gently. She kisses him back.
When they return to their seats, holding hands, their friends begin applauding again.
Mackenzie: (smiling) �So I take it that you two have made up?�
Alexis: (smiling at Ned) �Yes.� She looks at Jax and Julia. �I would like to thank Jax and Julia for forcing me to go up there and sing.�
Julia: �We didn�t force you to do anything, Alexis. We just told you to do what you thought was right.�
Avery: �See, Brooke, I told you that they would make up!�
Alexis and Ned smile at their daughters as they sit down next to each other.
Lucy: �And now, to make a speech, is chief of staff, Dr. Monica Quartermaine.�
Monica: (getting up and going to the stage) �Thank you, Lucy.� She smiles out at the audience. �On behalf of General Hospital, I would like to thank you all for being here tonight. Every person here is making a difference in the lives of others, and for that, we are truly grateful.�
She pauses as everyone claps, Gregory smiling proudly at her.
Monica: �A few months ago, I was approached by someone in this room who wanted to fund some sort of charitable contribution to the hospital. He knew exactly what he wanted, and after talking it over with the board, the suggestion has been approved and ground will be broken in February.�
She pauses as a stagehand wheels a large easel out with a drape covering it.
Monica: (pulling the drape off) �Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like you to see the first architectural plans for the Arianna Davis Cassadine Memorial Women�s Shelter.�
Alexis lets out a gasp and turns to Ned, who is smiling lovingly at her.
Monica: �This shelter is being built for abused and battered women and children in Port Charles. From counseling to a place to stay, this facility will be open to all those who need it.� She smiles. �We would like to thank Ned Ashton, for funding this shelter in honor of his wife�s late mother, Arianna Davis Cassadine.�
Alexis: (whispering, as tears run down her face) �I can�t believe you did this.�
Ned: (tears running down his face) �I did it for you, Alexis.�
Monica: �Ned, could you please stand up and let us thank you for this?�
Ned stands and waves at the audience, as they applaud loudly for him.
Monica: �And now, back to the show.�
Alexis: (as Ned sits down) �Ned...�
Lucy: �And now, straight from, well, their table, are the desired men of Port Charles- Ned Ashton, Stefan Cassadine, Jasper Jacks, Scott Baldwin and Nikolas Cassadine.�
Ned: (laughing) �Lex, we�ll talk later. I�m kind of busy now.�
The five men get up and head to the stage as the music begins.

Alexis looks at him, her heart filled with love.

Scott: (stepping forward) �They looked it up, and saw a star, shining in the east, beyond and far and to be heard, it gave great light, and so it continued both day and night.�
They sway as they go into the next chorus.

By now, Alexis, Kimberly, Julia, Mackenzie and Emily are all crying.
Stefan: (stepping forward) �They spied the light of passing star, three wise-men came from country far. To seek for the king was their intent, and to follow that star wherever it went.�
Mackenzie looks totally shocked as he smiles down at her.
All: �Noel, noel, noel, noel, born is the king of Israel. Born is the king of Israel.�
They take hands and bow together as the audience screams and claps. The audience rises and gives them a standing ovation.
Alexis: (getting up and putting her arms around Ned when he returns) �You were amazing.�
Julia: (kissing Jax) �You guys were so great, I cried.�
Mackenzie: (sniffing) �I still am.� She smiles at Stefan. �You�re so talented.�
The waiters begin serving dessert at this point.
Stefan: (whispering in her ear) �Come with me. Don�t ask where.�
They walk off discreetly, and once outside the door, Stefan pulls Mackenzie into the sound and light room, which is vacant.
Stefan: (unzipping her dress) �Oh God, Mackenzie, I�ve wanted you since you were singing. That was an hour ago.�
Mackenzie: (kissing him hard) �You looked so good up there on the stage.�
They quickly shed their clothes and begin making love standing up. Stefan doesn�t notice that he leans Mackenzie against the button that turns on the speaker for the main room.
Everyone looks up from their chocolate torte as they hear voices on the speakers.
Mackenzie: �Oh Stefan.� She laughs. �Ooh, Mr. Cassadine... Mr. GH CEO...�
In the Vasarri Room, Alexis and Julia starts laughing into their hands.
Christabel: �That sounds like Mackenzie!�
Ned: (snickering) �It is. She and your daddy... went for a walk.�
Stefan: (on the speaker) �Oh, Mrs. Cassadine, Mackenzie, I�m so glad you�re my wife.�
Everyone can hear them kissing and moaning.
Mackenzie: (moaning) �Oh, my Greek God.�
By this time, everyone is laughing hysterically.
Ned: �Wife? They�re married?�
Alexis: (pretending to be shocked) �Apparently so.�
Mackenzie: �Oh Stefan, if everyone only knew what we are doing...�
Just then, the speaker goes dead.
Fifteen minutes later, Mackenzie and Stefan walk back into the room, as if nothing has happened.
Everyone starts laughing hysterically and rises to give them a standing ovation.
Mackenzie: �What�s going on here?�
Julia: (half mad, half amused) �So, Mackenzie, when was I going to find out that my little sister and Stefan got married?�
The room goes completely silent.
Stefan: (his face beginning to lose all color) �Excuse me?�
