Ned wakes up on the living room floor of their suite. Alexis is asleep in his arms, her head on his chest.
Their clothes are all over the place and there is an empty bottle of champagne next to the couch.
Alexis: (not opening her eyes) �You have nothing to worry about.�
Ned: �What?�
Alexis: �Another year added onto your age has done nothing to impair your... abilities.�
Ned laughs and kisses the top of her head.
Ned: (stroking her hair) �How�s your back? Does your tattoo still hurt?�
Alexis: �The champagne helped numb it.� She smiles. �And so did being on the top.�
Ned: (sarcastically) �By the way, thank you so much.�
Alexis: �What? Do you have rug-burn on your back?�
Ned: (in a little boy voice) �Yes.�
Alexis: �Aw, I�ll make it all better.�
Ned smiles amusedly as Alexis rolls over onto her back and pulls Ned on top of her.
Ned: (as he makes love to her) �Alexis Ashton, you are truly the cure for all that ails me.�
Alexis: �Thank you. I do try to keep you... healthy.�
They both start laughing as they lose themselves in each other.
Later that morning. The beach.
Ned: (looking over at Alexis who is sunbathing peacefully in her chaise lounge) �I still can�t believe that you got a tattoo.�
Alexis: (lowering her black sunglasses to look at him) �Let me guess. It�s totally unlike me.� She smiles. �That�s the point.�
Ned: �I�m impressed. I would never think to get a tattoo.�
Alexis: (teasingly) �Maybe you should get your ear pierced on my birthday.�
Ned: �I don�t think so.� he smiles. �I�m just very, very turned on by your tattoo.� He gives her a look that clearly gets his point across.
Alexis: (smiling amusedly) �That�s nice, but you can�t do anything about it here. This is a public beach.�
Ned: �Is that so? Why don�t we take a leisurely stroll down to the water?�
Alexis: �Why? Are you going to throw me in again?�
Ned: �No. I was thinking that maybe we could engage in some private... water sports?�
Alexis: (laughing) �Dream on.� She rolls over onto her stomach and closes her eyes.
Ned: (getting out of his chaise lounge and coming to sit on the end of hers) �Aw, Lex, you�re spoiling my fun.�
Alexis: �And you�re blocking my sunlight and ruining my tan.�
Ned: (gently stroking her golden skin) �Lexi, we�ve never made love in water.�
Alexis: �Oh yes we have. Our hot tub at home, the beach in Bali... need I go on?�
Ned: (leaning down and gently pulling the waist band of her black bikini down so he can see her tattoo) �Alexis, did it ever occur to you that it would be very, very erotic to make love in the water at a public beach with hundreds of people around?�
Alexis: (trying to not laugh) �Nope. Never crossed my mind.�
Ned: �ALEXIS! Please?�
Alexis: (rolling over to look at him) �I don�t want to spend the night in a Mexican jail for indecent exposure.�
Ned: �We could be very chaste. No one needs to know what we�re doing.�
Alexis: (smiling amusedly) �You aren�t going to give this up, are you?�
Ned: �Nope.� He gives her an irresistible smile. �So, is that a yes?�
Alexis: (taking her sunglasses off) �Fine.� She smiles. �But you�re responsible if we get caught and arrested.�
Ned: �It�s a good thing I have my lawyer with me.�
Alexis: �Ned, I wouldn�t be able to defend you if I was charged with the same crime.�
Ned: �So we won�t get caught.� He holds out a hand. �Come on.�
Alexis sighs and takes his hand. They head down to the water and dive in.
They stop swimming far enough out so that the majority of their bodies are submerged in water, but they can still touch the sandy floor.
Ned: �Ready?�
Alexis: (laughing) �You make it sound as if we�re going to be swimming laps.�
Ned: �This is going to be an interesting experience.�
Alexis: �What, with trying to keep from drowning and all?� she smiles. �Ned, you truly are insane and...�
Ned cuts her off by grabbing her and kissing her hard.
They begin making love in the water, fighting to keep from drowning.
Alexis: �Oh, Ned...� she moans loudly.
Ned pulls her closer to him and sliding his hand into her bikini top, begins caressing her.
Alexis moans again as Ned kisses her gently.
Seven minutes later, a enormous wave comes out of nowhere, and goes over their heads, knocking both of them over.
Alexis: �NED!�
The wave carries them up onto the shore as they fight to break apart from each other.
They land up on the beach, Ned on top of Alexis. Her legs are still wound around his waist. They roll around on the sand, getting redressed.
Just then, a bunch of voices start screaming in Spanish and pointing at them.
Voice #1: �Police!�
Voice #2: �Police, over here!�
Voice #3: �These two need to be arrested for indecent exposure!�
Alexis and Ned look at each other, panicked. Ned stands up and taking Alexis� hand, begins running up the sand to their lounge chairs.
Alexis: �I knew that we would get caught...�
Ned: �Alexis, shut up. I don�t want to hear it.�
They stop at their chairs, and turn to see five people charging at them.
Ned: �Uh oh.�
They grab their towels and sunglasses and race away from the beach.
Ned: (slowing down to a walking pace) �I don�t want to hear I told you so.�
Alexis: (laughing) �I never said anything.� She smiles. �I was having fun until that wave came along.�
Ned: �This is your fault.�
Alexis: �Is that so? Would you care to elaborate on that thought?�
Ned: �If you had agreed when I first asked you, we would have been out of the water by the time that wave came along.�
Alexis: (laughing hysterically) �I somehow doubt that.�
Ned: �Well, we can cross in the Gulf of Mexico off our list.�
Alexis: �I wasn�t aware that we had a list.�
Ned: �We do now.� He smiles. �But we can�t tell anyone about this.�
Alexis: �I�m with you on that. I�d die if this got out.�
Ned: �So, what do you want to do now?�
Alexis: �Let�s go back to our hotel and finish what we were doing in the water.�
They smile at each other and quickly head back to their hotel room, where they do not come out for the rest of the afternoon.
Port Charles. Early evening at the Baldwins� house.
Scott: �What time is she coming?�
Kimberly: (smoothing out her black pants and white blouse as the doorbell rings) �Right now.� She smiles. �I hope you like her.�
She goes over to the door and opens it, revealing Claire, who is wearing a short linen dress and matching jacket in a flattering shade of jade.
Kimberly: �Claire!� she gives her a hug. �I�m glad you could make it.�
Claire: �I had a little trouble getting here. I was looking for a house, not a firehouse.�
Scott fights back the urge to roll his eyes. He already has his opinion of Claire formed.
Kimberly: �Claire Estrada, meet my husband Scott Baldwin.�
Scott: (shaking her hand) �It�s nice to meet you, Claire.�
Claire: (smoothly) �Likewise. Thank you for having me over.�
Serena: (running down the stairs) �Mommy, what does indecent exposure mean?�
Kimberly: �Claire, this is my daughter, Serena. Serena, this is my best friend Claire from when I was in high school.�
Serena: �Hi.� She turns back to Kimberly. �Mommy, it�s important.�
Scott: �Why do you want to know, Serena?�
Serena: �I was channel surfing and the news is on and they were talking about what the next story after the commercial is going to be... and there�s a couple that looks like Aunt Alexis and Uncle Ned...�
Scott: �What channel?�
Serena: �Five, I think.�
Scott picks up the remote and turns the television on.
TV Announcer: �And on a lighter note, today in Cabo San Lucas a couple was caught getting intimate on the beach and they fled when onlookers began calling the police. The scene was caught on amateur home video. Take a look.�
Kimberly, Scott, Claire and Serena watch in amazement as the TV pans to Alexis and Ned on top of each other in the sand, and then standing up and racing away as the group of people chase them.
TV Announcer: �And on that note, we are going to go to commercial break.�
Scott turns the TV off and he and Kimberly start laughing hysterically.
Kimberly: (trying to catch her breath) �Only Alexis and Ned could get caught.�
Scott: �I bet that they don�t know that this was on the news.�
Serena: �You aren�t going to tease them, are you, Daddy?�
Scott: �Of course not, Serena.�
Kimberly and Scott laugh harder. Claire just stares at them.
Claire: �That was your best friend?�
Kimberly: �Yeah, that�s Alexis.� She smiles. �She�s usually more... tactful. It�s her husband Ned�s birthday.�
Scott: �He�s my best friend.� He smiles. �And I bet that Ned talked her into getting it on in the sand.�
Claire: �Well, they seem like an interesting couple...�
Kimberly: �You�re going to love them!�
Claire just stares at Kimberly.
Just then, Olivia stars crying upstairs and Scott goes to get her.
When he returns, Olivia is still whimpering.
Scott: �I think that somebody wants her mommy.�
Kimberly: (taking Olivia and bouncing her a little) �Hello, sweet angel.�
Olivia immediately stops fussing and reaches for a lock of Kimberly�s long blonde hair.
Kimberly: �Claire, meet our baby girl, Olivia Paige.�
Claire: �Cute kid.� She smiles slightly. �I can�t believe that you have kids.�
Scott: �Kim is a wonderful mother.� He smiles at her.
Claire: �I just remember Kim as a wild little thing who balked at discipline.�
Kimberly: �Scott, do we have any alcohol?�
Scott fights back a laugh as he heads to the kitchen to get Kimberly a glass of wine.
Late that night.
Stefan is awaken to the sound of Mackenzie throwing up in the bathroom.
Stefan: (getting out of bed and going into the bathroom) �Again? Mackenzie, are you okay?�
Mackenzie: �I don�t know what�s wrong with me. I thought I was okay.�
Stefan: �Could you have some flu virus?�
Mackenzie: (finishing throwing up again) �I don�t know.� She retches again. �I�m going to die.�
Stefan: �You are not.� He kneels beside her and rubs her back. �You�re going to be okay.�
Mackenzie: (standing up) �I need some air.� She walks out of the bathroom and to the balcony outside their bedroom window. �Ah, much better.�
Stefan: (standing behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist) �Mackenzie, I�m worried about you. I�ve never seen someone sick like this except for when Katherine was...�
Mackenzie: �Was what?�
Stefan: (in the lowest voice possible) �When Katherine was pregnant with Christabel.�
Mackenzie: (shocked) �No. I couldn�t be pregnant.� She turns around to look at him. �Stefan, I can�t be pregnant.� She runs back inside and gets into bed, pulling the covers over her head.
Stefan: (pulling the covers back) �Mackenzie, we need to discuss this.�
Mackenzie: �It�s three thirty in the morning. How about if we discuss it later?� Stefan glares at her. �Or we can discuss it now.�
Stefan: (taking her hands as he sits down next to her) �Mackenzie, I don�t want to pry, but when was your last...�
Mackenzie: (amused) �My last period? I can�t remember. I think it was a month or two ago.� She thinks about it. �Yeah, a month and a half ago.�
Stefan: �Mackenzie, there is a good chance that you could be pregnant.�
Mackenzie: �There couldn�t be.� She starts to panic. �We aren�t even married!�
Stefan: �Maybe so, but we haven�t been using birth control.�
Mackenzie: �That�s not true. I used my diaphragm a few times...�
Stefan: �A few times? It only takes ONE time without it to get pregnant.�
Mackenzie: (staring at him) �Oh God, Stefan. What if... this can�t be... but...�
Stefan: �I suggest that you take a pregnancy test as soon as possible.�
Mackenzie: �I�ll take one tomorrow... actually later today.�
Stefan: �You know, it wouldn�t be the end of the world if you were pregnant.�
Mackenzie looks at him, surprised. Stefan just gives her a crooked smile.
Seven a.m. Jax and Julia�s bedroom at Ned and Alexis� house.
Julia wakes up to see Jax staring at her. There is a loving smile on his face.
Julia: �How long have you been watching me?�
Jax: �Long enough.� He gently rubs her stomach. �How�s our son or daughter?�
Julia: �Just fine.� She smiles. �I wish we knew if it is a boy or a girl.�
Jax: �I bet that it�s a little girl who looks just like you.�
Julia: (snuggling closer to him) �I bet it�s a little boy who looks like you.�
Jax: (kissing the top of her forehead) �I can�t wait until our wedding.�
Julia: �And I�ll be Julia Barrett-Jacks.�
Jax: �But can I call you Mrs. Jacks?�
Julia: �By all means, Mr. Jacks.�
Jax: �I love you, Julia.� He kisses her again. �And I will love you and our child forever.�
Julia: (smiling up at him) �Make love to me.�
Jax: �The baby...�
Julia: �Let�s hope that he or she is asleep so that they don�t hear its parents making love all morning.�
Jax: �I could always go into work a little late.�
Julia: �That�s the spirit.� She puts her arms around his neck and they begin to make love.
Cabo San Lucas. Ned is woken up to Alexis shaking him.
Ned: �What time is it?�
Alexis: �Six thirty. Get up.�
Ned: �Excuse me? I prefer to sleep until eight or nine on vacation.�
Alexis: �We�re going home tonight and there�s something I want to do.�
Ned: �Alexis...� he sounds a little weak and tired. �You made love to me all night and now you want me to get up and go somewhere?�
Alexis: �Please, please, please?� she leans down and kisses him passionately.
Fifteen minutes later.
Ned and Alexis are walking out onto the beach. The sky is still slightly dark.
Ned: �Sunrise?�
Alexis: �It�s going to be beautiful.�
They sit down on the sand against a piece of drift wood and Alexis sits between Ned�s legs and rests against his back. Ned puts his arms around her waist.
Ned: �I love you, Alexis Brinna.�
Alexis: �I love you too, Ned.� She smiles. �You�re everything I�ve ever wished for.�
Ned: �I hate to go back to Port Charles. This week has been perfect.�
Just then, the sun begins to slowly rise.
Alexis: (totally enthralled) �Wow, that�s beautiful.�
Ned: �You�re more beautiful than anything in the world, Lexi.�
Alexis: �Aw, Ned. You flatter me too much.�
Ned: (gently stroking her hair) �I do not. You really are perfection.�
Alexis: (turning around to look at him) �Than how about making love to perfection right here, right now.�
Ned: �You aren�t afraid of being chased by angry Mexicans or tidal waves?�
Alexis: �I can not think of anything more romantic than having you make love to me as the sun comes up over the Gulf of Mexico.�
Ned doesn�t say anything. He just lays her down on the sand and begins to make love to her as the sun rises in the sky.
Ten o�clock night. Port Charles.
Alexis and Ned get out of Alexis� Mercedes and walk up to the front door of their house.
Ned: (giving Alexis a kiss as he unlocks the door) �Lexi, making love to you as the sun came up this morning was amazing.�
Alexis: �I know.� She kisses his neck. �I�ll never forget this last week.�
Ned: (laughing) �How can you? You have that adorable little star to show it.� He gently places his right hand on her right lower hip.
Alexis: �I�m glad that you like it so much.�
Ned: �I can�t wait to get you upstairs in our bedroom so I can take your clothes off and look at it a little more in depth.�
Alexis laughs as Ned turns the door knob and they walk into the house.
Laying on the couch is Julia and Jax. They are kissing passionately.
Ned: (laughing) �Ahem.�
Julia: (seeing them) �Ned! Alexis! You�re home!�
Alexis: �I take it that you two are having an enjoyable evening?�
Jax: (ignoring her) �So, how was Mexico?�
Ned: (exchanging a look with Alexis) �Wonderful.� He smiles as he puts his arm around her waist and touches her lower back. �Unbelievable.�
Alexis: (laughing) �Were the girls good?�
Julia: �Very. Hannah�s tooth came in, so she�s been cranky, and Brooke got a hundred on her spelling test, and Avery is the lead mouse in the Nutcracker.�
Ned: �Are they asleep?�
Jax: �We checked on them a little while ago and they were out like a light.�
Alexis: �Good.� She laughs as Ned smiles at her.
Ned: �Well, thank you so much for taking care of the girls. We bought you something, but we�ll bring it by tomorrow, okay?�
Julia: �That�s fine.� They get their stuff together and leave.
As the door closes, Ned pulls Alexis down onto the couch and begins kissing her.
Alexis: �Ned... we should go check on the girls...�
Ned: �Lexi, Jax said they were asleep, so let�s just go with that thought.�
Alexis: (as he kisses her again) �Okay.� She runs her hands over his back.
Ned begins unbuttoning her shirt as they continue kissing. He sweeps her into his arms and carries her up to their bedroom, their luggage forgotten downstairs.
As Alexis unbuttons Ned�s shirt and showers kisses down his chest, their bedroom door opens.
They break apart hastily as Brooke and Avery come running in.
Brooke: �Daddy!�
Avery: �Mommy!�
They jump up onto the bed and begin hugging their parents.
Alexis: �Well, you two seem happy to see us.�
Avery: �What did you bring us?�
Ned: �We didn�t bring you anything.�
Brooke: (her face falling) �Nothing? Not even a napkin?�
Alexis: (trying to not laugh) �Nope.�
Avery: �Why not?� she sounds like she�s going to cry.
Ned: �Just kidding!� he grabs Avery and tickles her. �We brought you both something!�
Brooke: �Yay!� she shrieks as Alexis tickles her.
Ned: �Were you two good for Julia and Jax?�
Avery: �Yes. Uncle Jax watched Spice World with us three times.�
Ned: �Poor Uncle Jax.�
Alexis laughs. Brooke and Avery glare at him.
Just then, Hannah starts crying on the baby monitor.
Alexis goes to get her, and takes her back to their bedroom. Hannah gurgles happily and pulls on Alexis� hair.
Alexis: (kissing her forehead) �Did you miss us, Hannah Grace?�
Hannah gurgles in agreement. Alexis smiles as she gets back into bed and hands Hannah to Ned, who immediately begins tickling her stomach.
Ned: �Well hello there, Hannah Banana.�
Hannah squeals happily as Ned bounces her a little.
Alexis: (looking at the clock) �Brooke, Avery, you have to get back to bed.�
Brooke: �NO!�
Avery: �NO!�
They stand up and begin jumping up and down on the bed.
Ned: �Girls, come on now.�
Brooke: �Can we sleep in here with you?�
Avery: �Please, please, please?�
Ned and Alexis exchange a look and glance down at Hannah, who is quickly falling asleep in Ned�s arms.
Alexis: (sighing) �I guess it�s going to be an Ashton family sleepover in here tonight.�
Avery: �YAY!� she flops down on the bed next to Ned.
Alexis and Ned quickly change into their pajamas and go into the bathroom to brush their teeth.
Ned: (kissing Alexis) �Sorry about this.�
Alexis: (looking out at Brooke and Avery, half asleep with Hannah between them) �It�s okay. They�re so cute.�
Ned: �We have beautiful children, Lexi. I love you.�
Alexis: �I love you too.�
They turn off the bathroom light and going back into their room, get into bed.
Ned and Alexis quickly fall asleep, with Hannah on Ned�s chest, Brooke between them and Avery in Alexis� arms.
The entire family sleeps peacefully through the night.
At three a.m. Alexis wakes up.
She looks down at her family and smiles.
Alexis: (in a whisper) �I finally got my wish. I have the perfect family.� She smiles and goes back to sleep.
