| SOD: 8/27/02 NBC Gossip Word Game: Whats the (made up) word of the days behind the scenes in Salem? Weena. "Farah [Fath, Mimi] and Kirsten [Storms, Belle] came up with this whole 'weena' thing," explains Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) "I dotn remember waht it stood for, but they call each other Weena. Now, if anything, what'll be our greeting to each other: 'Hey, Weena, whats up?' I was honored to become a weena. First, I was an honorary weena, then I became one. I'm for real. It's fun. If anything, I cannot take myslef so seriously when I'm around them because I'll regress in years - in a fun way. I can joke around and be silly with them. Or sometimes, Kirsten will say somethig in a baby voice, and Jay [Johnson, Philip] will say the same thing, and it'll sound funny. She used to say, [in a baby voice], 'Im hungry.' It was so funny. I used to say it too, just to imitate her. Now, Jay says it!" Tress Talk: SOD 8/27/02: The bangs, I dont know what to do with them. I feel like Im going to grow them out, only because my forehead breaks out now. But there's a certain type of bangs called pixie bangs - Alyssa Milano has them, Calista Flockhart...they're a big commitment, I but I know that I could really bang it," says the actress. "Hairstyles that look good on me are short, jagged ones. It's a big deal for me to do tha bangs. I wanted something different. Kirsten [Storms, Belle] said she liked them to the side." From SOD in the Mail Bag section: July 6, 2002 issue: Days of Our Lives watchers are playing matchmaker for Jack. "Sami and Jack have surprisingly great chemistry," pointed out one. Another viewer thinks he would be good with ...Mimi! "She needs a mature man and something to keep her around. What if she started out as Jack's assistant?" SOD: Star Style: November 21, 2000 If you weren't an actress, what would you want to be? Fath: "A hair and makeup artist. I did my own hair and makeup for the Soap Opera Digest Awards. I saw this picture in one of the soap hair magazines. I'm like, 'I did it myself; it took me two hours...'" SOD: Soap Opera Style Last Blast Dance 2001 Farah Fath (Mimi): "I've worn pink to every school dance. I can't get away from it," laughed Fath, who chose the (somewhat altered) Windsor dress because it reminded her of Marilyn Monroe. "Its not that I like pink. I dont even like wearing it. It just always happens." SOW : Style File July 9, 2002 What's the one thing from your wardrobe you can't throw away? Farah Fath (Mimi, Days): "My favorite BCBG jeans. I went to an L.A. Dodgers game, and I sat in gum. It was stuck to the seat, and I got tears in my eyes because they are my favorite jeans! I know you can get gum out of things, but this is too much. They're ruined, and they can never be replaced." WINNERS *Days' Mimi. Even though she had to work the punch bowl at the Last Blast Dance, she helped expose Jason and Cynthia and got the chance to dance with Kevin. From various issues of SOD in late 2000 and 2001 Does Mimi feel vindicated now that Belle has seen Chloe's true colors? Farah Fath replies: "Yes. Everyone thought that Mimi was crazy and stupid and didnt have all her marbles, but she had Chloe pinpointed." Why does Mimi let Jan manipulate her? Farah Fath Explains: "Mimi is just a typical girl who wants to fit in really bad and she'll do anything to do it. And I think Belle kind of knows that. From SOD sometime in 2001 Oh, What a Tangles Web Perhaps Days' Mimi and Jan could lecture on naughty Web sites at Horace Greenley High. This summer, boys at Horace Greenley High School in Chappaqua, a tony New York City suberb, were busted over a web site that listed the sex secrets of girls. If only they'd spent there spare time watching DAYS OF OUR LIVES, they'd have learned the folly of their ways from Jan and Mim, who exposed classmate Chloe online and got sentenced yo work as school janitors. From Soap Opera Digest Sometime in 2001 Charitable Feet: Kirsten Storms (Belle) and buddy Farah Fath (Mimi) have discovered the benefits of working the charity circuit together. "We did the American Heart Association Walk, which was three and a half miles," says Storms. "It was cold, it was reaining, but we both decided to go. What did we do? We talked the whole time...and held hands the whole way," continues Fath. "And before we knew it, the walk was over." Storms was surprised by her stamina. "My brother was on a track team, and he'd make me run with him on the weekends cause he didn't want to go by himself," she explains. "And I would get about, I dont know, half a mile, and I'd start complaining, turn around and walk home. You know you are best friends with someone when you can walk three and a half miles and it goes like that (snaps)." DAYS FARAH FATH: What even caused this young actress to cry? Days' Farah Fath (Mimi) was in her first fender-bender on a california freeway. "I was in the far left lane and a guy went to pass me, but was too close and knocked me into the guard rail," she recalls. "I was lucky the wall was there, or I would have smashed into other cars." Luckily she wasn't hurt. "Later, I was a basket case. I cried the whole next day, so I was glad I had the day off." |
