Internet buzz that she's leaving Days of our Lives has been greatly exaggerated, reports Farah Fath (Mimi).
"There were rumors of me being fired," explains the actress. "I tried to set the record straight at a personal appearance. I said, "No my contract is up in about nine, ten months, and I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know if they want me to stay-I dont know if I want to stay. We haven't discussed anything. I've been thinking about it because they usually talk six months before, which should be in about three months for me. People usually feel good about whether they're gonna ask you to sign or not; I have no idea what they're going to say to me."
Fath is amazed how quickly the time has passed. "I started out recurring for six months, so next month will be three years for me. That seems like a long time," she reflects. "I have had fun, which is the main thing. If they give me something to do then I will probably stay. But if I'm gonna be in the background, I don't know. I want to try other things, see if I can get on a sitcom. I have the dream like everyone else does- movies, all that stuff."
As for the message boards, she sighs,"I don't know why people are saying that, like they've decided for me. Let them talk. At least they're talking.
