As the five founding members of LHASA APSO CANADA had a common interest in showing, it has always remained a priority in the Club.

The Club publishes show results and an aggregate rating for Top Lhasa Apso in the Breed in each issue of The APSO FACTO the Club's bimonthly Newsletter.

This Top Lhasa Apso rating is based on a dog defeated sytem at Breed, Group and Best In Show levels. The ratings start with the first Canadian conformation show in January and continue until the last CKC sanctioned event at the end of that year. All-Breed and Specialty Show wins are tabulated. This is the same method that is used by DOGS IN CANADA for its Top Dog All Breed Award.

LHASA APSO CANADA also has its own Top Lhasa in Breed system which is based on Lhasa Apsos only, defeated at Breed and Best of Opposite Sex level.

LHASA APSO CANADA has records on the Top Lhasa Apso Rating from 1962 when the system was first inaugurated.
