| So you wanna know about LHANA, do you? Lhana was born the daughter of two parents (like most people). Her father, Lhangdon, was a journeyman smith. Her mother, Shirana, was a homemaker, a stay-at-home mom. Lhana was, and is, their only child. Throughout nearly all her young life, the restless Lhangdon really put the 'journey' into 'journeyman', taking new positions and temporary assignments in as many different holds as he could. He really seemed to enjoy it, being the sort for a wandering life. He said he was always looking for a place to settle down, though Lhana seriously doubted it - she considered just about everywhere they went to be the *perfect* place to settle down. But then, when she was in her 16th turn, the little family arrived at the most perfect place of all - which also happened to be the most unlikely: High Reaches Weyr. It is a place of cold, cold winters and nice, mild summers, with short little falls and springs in between. Lhana had heard nary a good word about the place, but when she got there, the place seemed to simply charm her, somehow, as no place yet had. And so Lhana told her parents that she was /definitely/ staying here, as she'd been fixing to settle away from home for some time, anyway. And she's been there ever since - over two full turns. Her parents moved away again shortly after this event, as they /definitely/ didn't care for the weather, leaving Lhana behind in her oh-so lovely independence. She quickly found a living caring for hair, her one great love in life, and has been HRW's (self-proclaimed) "best haircutter person /ever/" ever since. |
| As for Lhana's personality, hmm... Lhana is very, very, well...emotional. She experiences rapid, completely unpredictable mood shifts, apparently at random. And when she does so, you /know/ it. When she's sad, she's /very/ sad. When she's happy, she's ecstatic. And the pendulum swings without warning. This is one 'constant' in her personality. Another irrefutable part of Lhana is her overwhelming vanity, /especially/ about her hair. Lhana's hair is more important than any other part of her, and she will drop everything to make sure it doesn't suffer damage. This - well - obsession is the main reason why she's such an accomplished hair-person - she's had to learn every haircare secret that came her way to ensure that her hair looked absolutely perfect. She's very careful about her appearance, always attempting to look as cute, or sexy, or what-have-you as she possibly can. If she doesn't...well, she'll go off to her room and not come out until she does. This leads into her self-absorbant tendencies. Lhana is, well, conceited. That's just the way she is - nobody is as important as she is. If you don't like Lhana, she's sure as anything to absolutely /hate/ you. An accomplished flirt and a shameless gossip, Lhana needs something interesting to be going on all the time that she can gossip about, or she just gets bored. And then...badthings happen. Like pranks, or...bored Lhanas. That's why she likes the 'Reaches so much - almost always something going on. Also, her favorite color is pink, she's /very/ whimsical and frivolous, loves cute, fluffy things, hates ugly, slimey things, and loooves boys. As I said, she's a shameless flirt, and would go after every guy that comes her way if she could. And she hatehate/hates/ getting her hands dirty or chasing after screaming kids or the like.
