Introduction to The Life Goes On Semi-finished Episode Guide By Mark Rabinowitz, Shari Feldman, Cindy Camp et al.
Last year, I got sick and tired of the lack of an episode guide for "Life Goes On." Problem was, I only saw two seasons' worth. Anyway, this guide has gotten a lot of help as of late! I need the help of all those who love and remember the show. (The Family Channel will recommence airing Life Goes On reruns this Monday, June 6! Awesome!) They may never air on "free" TV, so help while your memories are still there.
NOTES: There are exactly 83 episodes of Life Goes On, which aired over four seasons. Not all have summaries, which is why I call this guide Unfinished. The following initials appear after some summaries, representing those who contributed them: TB- Thomas Bromley PTP- Pamela T. Pon CC- Cindy Camp PS- Paul Silverman SF- Shari Feldman TJW- T.J. Walsh EL- Emily Lee SY- Scott Yanoff DH- David Hines JBM- JoBeth McDaniel, who co-authored "A Special Kind of Hero" with Chris Burke (Corky). While the book is mainly a biography/autobiography of Burke, it did describe several episodes from LGO's first two seasons. "Hero" was published by Doubleday in 1991. Anyone else who wishes to contribute to the ep guide can send them by e-mail to me, especially by replying to this post. I thank you for your support. Special thanks to John Lavalie, who sent me the full list of episodes with airdates and titles. This enabled Shari to go through the TV Guides much more quickly. Great work, John! This guide is also available by FTP. The tardis.ed.ac.uk server is down right now, so instead FTP to ftp.ping.de, the official Tardis mirror. After logging on, type "cd pub/tv/us/drama/LifeGoesOn". If you need any help, archive keeper Dave Chapman ([email protected]) may be of assistance. -Mark Rabinowitz

This series is set in the fictional Chicago suburb called Glen Brook. A bit of trivia: while Glen Brook, IL, does not exist, there is a school district called Glenbrook which covers the cities of Glenview and Northbrook. Both towns are relatively affluent: Becca was right to feel out of place in that scholarship contest (see season 3, "Corky's Romance"). Just east of Glenview is Winnetka, home of Sisters, Middle Ages, and Winnetka Road. Winnetka has one of the highest per capita incomes in the U.S.
RECURRING CHARACTERS: The following is a list of recurring (not regular, but often appearing) characters from the four seasons of Life Goes On. Each listing contains the character's name, the actor playing that character, the character's description, and the seasons during which this character appeared. If the character has no given last name, well, I had to list them anyway. Also, this list will grow as Shari keeps feeding me TV Guide summaries. You will notice that the current list is based mostly on seasons 3 and 4. No bit parts here, folks.
