Welcome to Lots Gap Mountain's Boer Goats.

We are a small farm located in the Southwestern part of Va. We purchased our first boers in June of 2002. This came about as a result of me getting pneumonia in February of 2002. My brother had pygmy goats and ask if I could look up some information on them for him since I was house bound for two weeks. As I searched for what he needed I kept running into sites and info on boer goats. What is a boer goat I kept asking myself? I raised goats for years but had gotten out of it and never heard of a boer goat before. I started reading all the info I could on these strange critters and after looking at them I fell in love with their look and body structure. I quit smoking as a result of my getting sick so I saved the money I was spending on cigarettes and purchased our first boers from some friends I made in search for these strange looking animals. On Feb. 10, 2003 I quit smoking and I've never had a craving for a cigarette since that day. But my craving for these white bodied animals with red heads just gets worse. I love to talk about them to anyone who wants to listen.
