Accomplishments: Rode the 200 mile Seattle-to-Portland bicycle classic at the age of 12 on a tandem with her dad; loves band and has played the flute and bassoon particapating in high school marching band and symphony. She has studied violin, loes music, church, and family. Received her Thespian award for outstanding drama work while in high school. Graduated from LDS seminary and from Pleasant Grove High School, Utah, in 2001. She had completed a year of classes through the Everett Community College, Everett, Washington before becoming a full time mother. She now lives at home with her parents in Freeland, Washington on Whidbey Island and hopes to return to school soon and get a job to help support her and her baby. Career Plans: Mathematics, drama, and music. She hopes to possibly teach high school math or drama after graduating from a University of Washington.

Family Update: (December 2006) Sarah, now age 23, has had her share of troubles, and successes, being a single mom these past two years. James Alton is a wonderful little boy always challenging. Her previous marriage has finally been dissolved and now she can move on with her life. Her new challenge ahead began on December 22nd when she got married to her best friend of the past year, Joshua Robert Winder, at the Seattle LDS temple. It was her crowning achievement and accomplishment. There were other achievements. This past year she completed a college level course in wedding management. She also trained herself as a senior adult care giver. Josh, Sarah, and baby James Alton will be moving to Oregon early in the new year where they will start a challenging new career path in life.
