Lois met James at a church Special Iinterest dance in Orem, Utah on 3 October 1975. They were married in the Salt Lake City LDS temple on 3 June 1976. They lived in Utah for one year while Jim finished schooling at the Brigham Young University and Lois taught kindergarten for Sego Lilly elementary school in Lehi, Utah during her fifth year of teaching. They moved to Washington State the summer of 1977 where Jim worked for the Eldec Corporation in Lynnwood, Washington. Early in 1996 the family (except for Kyle) moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah to complete more schooling and to be closer to Lois' family. Jim, Lois, Sarah, and Jakob moved back to Washington in 2001 while Anton was on his mission to St. Petersburg, Russia. Anton came home May 2002 but joined the Navy January 2003. Lois has her Utah and Washington State teacher's certificate currently working as a substitute teacher for the Everett School District in Washington.
