MANAGERIAL GRADE EXPLAINED
DRAFT POINTS
This category is used to figure out how many points a team would have scored had they made no transactions over the course of the season.

It is discovered by using the initial draft results, compiling the points scored by each individual player, and then creating a "Draft Roster" which is a roster of the best players at each position.

This total point compilation leads to the formulation of...

DRAFT GRADE ("DRAFT")
This is a number between 50 and 100.

Its is created by making the highest "DRAFT POINTS" worth 100, the lowest "DRAFT POINTS" worth 50, and then scaling the rest of the GRADES depending on how far away they are from the highest DRAFT GRADE.

DRAFT GRADE USE:
This statistic measures the ability of a manager to compile the best team through the draft.  Since it only uses the players originally drafted, it excludes any points gained or lost through transactions made over the course of the season.

ADJUSTED DRAFT POINTS
This category takes the initial Draft Roster and removes all players that fall below "REPLACEMENT LEVEL" for their particular position.

FOR EXAMPLE: During the 2007 season B.J. Ryan got hurt at the very beginning and thus needed to be replaced on his roster.  Larry replaced B.J. Ryan with David Weathers.  Thus, the addition of David Weathers was not used to improve his team, but only to compensate for the injury to B.J. Ryan and could have been accomplished by adding a number of other relief pitchers.

This category is only for figuring out a team's...

TRANSACTION POINTS
This category is figured out by subtracting a team's "ADJUSTED DRAFT POINTS" from the team's "FINAL DRAFT POINTS."

By doing this, the number created represents what a team gained or lost by making moves other than simply replacing injured players.

TRANSACTION GRADE ("TRANS")
This is a number between 50 and 100.

It is created the same way as the "DRAFT GRADE" except that it uses the "TRANSACTION POINTS" instead of "DRAFT POINTS."

INDIVIDUAL SEASON MANAGERIAL GRADE ("GRADE")
This category is the average of the "DRAFT GRADE" and the "TRANSACTION GRADE."

This is the GRADE displayed in the "FINAL YEAR" found in the "YEAR ARCHIVE."

MANAGERIAL GRADE ("MANAGERIAL GRADE")
This is a letter of A (100-90), B (89-80), C (79-70), D (69-60), F (59-50).

This is the GRADE displayed on the "INDIVIDUAL TEAM PAGE"
