Reasons: As far as I can tell, disregarding salary, which is only the lesser of the two things to consider, I think adding Victor Martinez to the deal without any other compensation, and given the unknown nature of a player like Ryan Braun is far too unfair.
In my eyes, over the course of the league, I can fully expect to see Ryan Braun and Ryan Zimmerman having equal value. Therefore, to include, additionally, the 2nd best catcher in the league on top of that remains too one-sided.
Therefore, this deal needs alittle more on Jim's end, in my eyes, to pass through.
