FAITHISM IS
Faithism is the claim to command absolutes by objectifying the domain of trust.
Faithism is estranged from both doubt and love, because it cannot allow dissent from its absolutes and so cannot embrace alternative beliefs.
Faithism therefore leads to violence to defend its absolute beliefs against competitors, misconstrued.
Faithism is an acquisitive faith that cannot have what it craves most of all, for things to be other than the way they are.
Faithism fears the one thing it cannot acquire, The Unknown, that remains forever unattainable.
Faithism grieves from an addiction of the spirit to self-indulgent belief that takes contradictions too personally and its absolutes too seriously.
Faithism is a spiritual virus that confines itself not to the religious but can infect the practice of any belief system. |
