Eugenics I: Creation
The tale of a life begins before the life itself, before the first breath, the first spark, for account must be taken of genetics, culture; trappings of nature, nurture
On behalf of the being human, decisions there loom round the bend that will assess disease and dis-ease and determine, to direct evolution, any "genetic injustice"
To assess what human traits ought to survive and evolve means to assume the value of the diverse, and to presume what is, what is not perverse
There is at stake more than evolutionary enhancement, but also the integrity of the individual, the person, the human being authentic |
