Here is my Professional Development Plan:

Personal Mission Statement

My personal mission is to make my area of the world a little better than it is now ... to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

To find happiness, fulfillment, and value in living I will:

LEAD a life centered around the principles of integrity, moral ethics, patience, and service avail.

REMEMBER what's important in life is truth, contribution, personal growth, respect, and family.

REVERE admirable characteristics in others, such as being caring, light-hearted, emotional, and kind, and attempt to implement similar characteristics in my own life.

RECOGNIZE my strengths and develop talents as a person who is articulate, a communicator, imaginative, intelligent, a speaker, and a joker.

HUMBLE myself by acknowledging that I can be procrastinator, unmotivated, and fashionably late and by constantly striving to transform my weaknesses into strengths ... and to bypass my beliefs when death is involved.

ENVISION myself becoming a person who is a:

	Friend who is supportive, committed, and enthusiastic.

Five Years from Today

Five years from today I expect to have developed a solid teaching foundation as the classroom will become my lifelong career. My background has always been in technology specific to computer occupations through my employments. Being a vocational teacher, I never considered it as "teaching" since the premises was for professionals in the industry to "instruct" students in their field. My own qualifications did not come from any previous college rather from the minimal requirements of the five years background experience that got me in. I know realize after six years with the past year being my first year as a full-time instructor, that teaching will be my long-life career.

What Needs to be Done

I need to complete the final requirements for the Level 2 full-time of the Designated Subjects Teaching Credential. I am currently enrolled in these courses online with Cal State University of San Bernardino which are EVOC 502 and 503 and will complete and pass them by September 2005. These are my last requirements in order to achieve this.

As my courses are tied to industry standards, I next need to gain all certifications in the area I will be teaching. The CompTIA certification I currently have is the A+ Certification, I need to obtain the following additional certifications in order to be on-par with the industry and be able to instruct the same certification to my students: Network+ / i-NET+ / Server+ / Security+. These certifications are separate and will need to purchase some practice exams and practice what I already know using some computer based training. Each certification costs about $100 which will be provided for by CompTIA's education program that assists trainers and educators prepare the workforce.

By the end of my five year outlook, I plan earn my first degree in order to be success and highly qualified in my teaching profession. I intend to enroll with the University of Phoenix and start the process to earn the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The next five years after that will see me earn this degree!!
