Dear Mr. Porter, Jesus Sandoval, the district laptop intern technician, has been working closely with me for the past three years in conjunction with the District Laptop Program. During that period of time, I have been impressed by his ability to communicate with the teachers, parents and students who have laptops. This was first exhibited during our “out of box events”. Jesus led several of these events and did a good job of explaining the parts of the computer and its operation. He also makes an effort to tell students or parents how to take care of their computers to avoid problems in the future. Under his direction, the laptop center has become an almost self-sustaining enterprise in its first year of operation. This is a direct result of Jesus' hard work, expertise and dedication. He has the knowledge diagnose, order, repair all of the different brands of laptops in the program. He has passed every certification test necessary to allow the center to be designated as our own repair center. Jesus has been good at troubleshooting Internet connection issues as well as software and hardware problems. In addition he has helped set up file sharing capabilities in several classrooms, thus making the use of the laptop in an instructional setting more effective. Jesus is conscientious about his job. He works with me on an on going basis to try to improve our system. He is concerned about all phases of the process and frequently comes up with suggestions for improvement. He has a good memory and is able to keep track of what projects he has worked on or currently in progress. This letter of commendation reflects Jesus for his ability to perform any job placement and recommend him for any position that he is applying employment for.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Porter, Sam Jameson, the district laptop intern technician, has been working closely with me for the past year in conjunction with the District Laptop Program. During that period of time, I have had a mixed impression with his abilities to communicate with the teachers, parents and students. This was first exhibited during our “out of box events” where Sam was unable to explain the parts of the computer and its operation which destabilized the effort of our students and parents on how to take care of their computers and avoid problems in the future. Because this event was under his direction, the laptop center was unable to fulfill a low quota of warranty support which in the past has become a major factor in our self-sustaining enterprise. Though Sam has excellent knowledge to diagnose, order, repair all of the different brands of laptops in the program, he is unable to relay to others in an instructional setting. I feel Sam is not fully conscientious about his job as he works with me on an on going basis and does not try to correct his inability. This letter of complaint reflects Sam's for his inability to perform any job placement that deals with instructions with others, though I don't highly commend him for a job position as an instructor, Sam is able to correct these hindsight's with the correct training. His high degree of technical expertise is his strongest asset.
Sincerely,
Leonard Moreno |
