It seems that our old-fashioned families are disappearing. You know the kind that I am talking about - they work hard TOGETHER, they play hard TOGETHER, have picnics, and reunions, in fact, they do more than just watch TV TOGETHER! I am so exhausted from going to Work, doing Housework (Yecch!), Laundry, Cooking, well you know...that even watching TV is a lot of work. However, it also made me think that what we need is a list of IDEAS. I love lists, my Mom taught me all about making lists! God Bless Her! I will be creating a list here, on this page, of IDEAS for families of all kinds can do TOGETHER without tons of effort. There should be some where the kids can help out too. SO...here are the first few IDEAS to 'Strengthen your Family' in many ways. They shouldn't take much money. Just, time and love.

1) Instead of watching TV all weekend, Go on a PICNIC and let the kids make the sandwiches etc. (if the weather is bad, have the Picnic in your Living room!) Don't forget some Games or even Playing Cards...Remember GO FISH!

2) Gather photos and Make a Scrapbook together.

3) Put together a Jigsaw Puzzle. See how much you can learn together and how much FUN they are!!!

4) Make a family flag - it could be cut out of construction paper, or use muslin and some crayons. (To make the design permanent on muslin, simply place newspaper over the design on muslin and iron. It will set it into the material.) It you have a family crest you can copy on the material too.
