Jon Peters picked up the victory and belted
his third homerun of the season. Peters through five innings and received
two innings of relief by Bryan Brooks. Chris Bowes took the loss for
Sydenham despite going 4 for 4 at the plate, including a triple and 2
doubles. Tyler Robinson hit a two run homerun for Sydenham
In a four point game in Inverary, the Kingston Cowboys scored in the bottom
of the seventh inning to earn a hard fought 1-1 draw with Sunbury. Sunbury
took the lead in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Jason
Norman that scored Cory Gee, who had led off the inning with a double. In
their last at-bat, Cowboys pinch hitter Tim Ferguson singled to left field
and re-entered runner Jamie Purdon moved to second on a ground out before
scoring on a single to left field by Jeff Hannah.

Battersea 5 Napanee Jr's 8
A see saw battle at the Battersea dome. Chris
Lewis staked the Napanee Jr's to a one run lead in the top of the first with
a solo shot to right field. Battersea would tie it up in the bottom of the
second. The Jr's would take the lead again in the top of the fourth and the
merchants would come in and tie it up in their half of the inning at 2 - 2.
The Jr's opened up a two run lead in the top of the fifth but Battersea
responded with a three run rally to tie and take their first lead of the
game. Andrew Wemp's solo shot to left field allowed the Jr's to tie the
game at 5 apiece. In the top of the seventh Mike Roantree got things
started getting aboard on a infield screamer that short stop Mike Tye
couldn't find the handle on. Roantree scored when Battersea's Ryan Dickson
just missed a diving catch on Tim Keller's sinking liner to right. Both
Keller and Nathan Moffat would score on another Andrew Wemp single to give
the Jr's a 3 run lead. Some excellent defence closed out the bottom of
the seventh, none out, when with Runners on third and second short stop
Chris Lewis made a diving catch to his right on a hard hit ground ball by
Derek Shaver makes the throw to first and Ben Tee came home with the throw
to Kyle Mack for the tag at the plate to turn a double and reduce the
threat. Keller got Devon Lake to ground out back to him to end the inning.
Keller picked up his first win of the season scattering 6 hits and striking
out 8. Jr Monds gave up 8 hits and struck out 2 both pitchers hit a bats man
and walked 2 each. Andrew Wemp had the hot bat for the Jr's when needed to
tie up the game and cash in the runs at the end of the game. Brad Cashman
hit a monster shot into the woods to lead of the top of the fifth inning.

In the first inning, Jeff Hannah singled and
moved to second on a stolen base. Jon Swaine then singled to left but
Hannah was gunned out at the plate on a nice throw by Mike Burnett. Ryan
Sharpe followed with an infield single to score Swaine making it 1-0. In
the bottom half, Sydenham quickly answered when Tyler Robinson hit a 2-run home
run that cashed Chris Bowes who had doubled to start things.
In the top of the second, the Cowbows evened
things at 3-3, scoring 2 more runs on a 2-out RBI single by David Purdon
followed by a Sydenham error following a single by Jeff Hannah.
Sydenham then scored two more when
Later in the game Adam Garrison and Tyler
Robinson traded solo homers to end the scoring.
