Issue: Nine children. Twins Magdalena & Eva died at 8 days in Biblis. The 
remaining came to America.
Valentin & Apollonia are buried at Mt. Carmel, IL, USA

Apollonia Hertling #813 (1838-1899) Descendants--Ancestors 
Apollonia married Henry Hillenbrand (1838-1913) and had 11 children. 
He farmed.  They are buried in St.Joseph cemetery, Vanderburgh Co.,IN

Maria Katharina Hertling #328 (1840-1928) Descendants--Ancestors
Katherine came to America in 1888 as a widow with her last six children.
Katherine was the famous 'Cucumber Lady' of Biblis. She was the first one 
to start raising cucumbers around Biblis.         

Elisabeth "Nel" Hertling #323 (1843-1910) Descendants--Ancestors 
 Elisabeth and Johann settled in Mt. Carmel, IL.  (There'll be more of 
a write-up in the near future.)
