The Future
The future seems bright for GLBT equal rights in the workplace, but policies alone cannot completely stop discrimination.  Every type of discrimination is present in our society today, and it may not be visible; but behind the layers of lies and prejudice, it will continue to occur.  The only way that discrimination will cease is the employment of logical, nonbiased leaders.  Managers and the CEOs of corporations that understand the distinction between discrimination and equality will end this wave of bigotry.  Companies must recognize the real leaders, and not just the next successor to power.  This person must be qualified for the position in terms of education and hard work, but they must also understand the many types of discrimination in the workplace.  Only the leaders can help prevent the discrimination against gays, lesbians, bisexual, transgender, women, African Americans, or any other group.  This cannot be done within companies alone, and others must influence through examples and knowledge.  One of the many ways for one to help is to join the Human Rights Campaign (www.hrc.org), and assist them in their multiple campaigns against companies that take part in discrimination.  In the birth of the America, a famous philosopher John Locke once declared, All mankind... being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions.
