Introducing Merlin and the Raw-Fed Old English Sheepdogs Yahoo Group! We believe that a diet of raw food is biologically more appropriate for dogs. A raw diet is commonly referred to as a B.A.R.F., or Bones and Raw Food, diet. It is primarily a diet of raw meaty bones, with veggies, fruits, and other supplements often added. We discuss all facets of this diet and how our dogs fare on it. We teach, support and learn from each other, and to that end, we have posted several links and files for members to access.

Since cost is always an important factor (along with storage space) in deciding to feed a raw diet, it pays to buy in bulk. But what does one do with 500-1000 lbs. of raw meat and bones? The answer for me has been to start a BARF buyers' group for my area, the Pacific NW. We get volume discounts on the products we purchase, which really helps a lot!
