The August meeting of the LF&G was held on the 1st at the club 18 members attended and the raffle raised $25.

As usual during the summer months things are quiet at the club but that is about to change with the coming of the fall. On weekends the ranges get full so be patient and safe.

We will need people to help out at the open house on Sept. 17th. This will be nearly the last chance to get in your work requirement for this year.

The club now has a gas powered weed whacker. If you want to do some cleaning up at the club you can pick it up at my shop. You will be required to sign it out and be responsible for it. Remember this is for club use, not personal.

My apologies for forgetting to thank John Chilek, Dick Tracy and Tarmchar Construction for the sand berms at 25 and 75 yards for the silhouette targets

It was reported to me after the last machine gun shoot that a few people, in something of a demanding tone, wanting to fire the guns. Those guns are privately owned, and it is out of the kindness of the owner that he allows anyone to try them at all.

Next meeting Sept. 5th at the club, 7:30 pm.

Seven new members joined in Aug. Paula Tate, Suzanne Pinard, Derek Santerre, Robert Bondar, Eathan Eller, Donald Nalette, and John Foster.
