DEPARTURE OF LIVERPOOL OLD BOYS
Well, I've decided to set aside a section for the Liverpool players who have left recently due to various circumstances. My thoughts and feelings about the situation. This is page is still under construction. I've yet to add in the feats and glory they have done or brought to Liverpool. This will be added later. Please wait patiently for it.
Robbie Fowler (Left the club on 29th November 2001 to Leeds Utd)

They have not been doing really well in recent games, drawing most of the games and even losing some. It's really disappointing to see that. But at least, the recent win against Man Utd managed to salvage the situation. Liverpool still have got a chance. But the thing is that most teams have a game in hand and Liverpool is at the disadvantage now, after not capitalizing on what they have a month ago.
One month and so much has changed for them. They ain't scoring as much goals as we would expect and want them to. Too reliant on Owen eh. As for Heskey, like I've always said, he's ineffective and Anelka have yet to make his mark. On the other hand, Fowler's doing so well at Leeds. I still think that selling Fowler is the biggest mistake. Look at what happened to Liverpool after that. It disrupted the momentum they were having. They were on a high then. I guess if Leeds do win the premier league title, it would be Liverpool's doing eh and the bosses would probably be kicking themselves for that grave mistake. Many players have said that Liverpool can do without Fowler, doesn't seem much of the case at the moment. Although when he was there, he didn't play and didn't make much of a difference but I guess it's very much a presence thing. Such is the world of the football business - ruthless.
Jamie Redknapp (Left the club on 16th April 2002 to Tottenham Hotspurs)

Looking at the Redknapp news. News of him being transferred to Spurs for free. Gosh! I read about this some 3-4 weeks ago. But a check with the site showed that it's all rumours. Then, suddenly, it's a fact. I'm really disappointed that he's leaving. 11 years at Liverpool and he's leaving now. I can't help being sad. He's one of the last of the old boys of Liverpool to leave. First, it was Jones, Macca, James, Fowler then him. It's all written on the cards after Fowler was sold. I had expected him to be sold too, but it's a matter of WHEN. Didn't expect it to be now, when Liverpool is trying to go for the Premier League title although to be honest, they don't stand a chance. At a certain point in time, Redknapp was tipped to be the England captain. But plagued with injuries, his fortunes changed.
Rumours turned out to be true. He's one of the last Spice Boys that left Liverpool. The Spice Boys era has ended! No doubt a good thing that the Liverpool players have shed that awful tag, it's really sad to see him go. Really really sad. It's hard to describe and explain how I feel. Words can't express that. I mean, it's been years. I started watching the EPL in 1995 after watching him play. Although I started supporting Redknapp, I ended up loving the club. It's been 7 years already. It's been a long time since I started supporting him as a Liverpool player. I'm going to miss him. How he's changed through the years. From the boyish guy in 1991, when he came to Singapore (you should have seen that photo my friend's got. Really boyish looking guy) to how he looks right now. Okie, looks aside, his playing style too have matured.
I'm now regretting over something. It's been something that I've regretted ever since that day. Although I tell myself that, at least I get to meet them in real person, really up close. But now, I'm feeling more regretful over that matter. About meeting Liverpool. WHY why why didn't I contact my friend earlier and bring the necessary stuff along, like my camera, posters and stuff and tagged along with him. Then, I can have my very own photos taken with Fowler, Redknapp and the rest of the guys. Who would have thought that there were great chances for doing so. Regret is how I feel..........Although I managed to get take a photo with Redknapp, it didn't turn out right. All I'm left is a negative that cannot be developed..........
