Share Dessert With Me

On this page I will be sharing my favorite recipes that you might like to try.
The first one is Key Lime Pie.

1 Box sugar free lime-flavored gelatin (0.3 oz)
1/4 cup boiling water
2 containers key lime pie-flavored light yogurt (8 oz)
1 container frozen fat free whipped topping, thawed (8 oz)
1 prepared 9" reduced fat graham cracker pie crust
Mix gelatin and water until all granules dissolved
Add yogurt and mix
Add whipped topping and mix
Pour into pie crust and refrigerate 3 hours.
Option: Pour into bowls and refrigerate 3 hours.

My next favorite dessert is: Almost Fat-free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars.

2 cups flour (or 1 cup flour and 1 cup protein powder, or 2 cup protein powder)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sugar (or fructose, or 8 packets of Equal)
2/3 cup brown sugar (optional)
12 egg whites
8 Tblspn fat free milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups rolled oats
6 oz or 12 oz bag of chocolate chips This is a recipe you can play with as far as the amount of sugar and protein you want in each bar. If the dough seems dry, add more milk or less protein powder.

Combine dry ingredients first, then add wet. Spread onto cookie sheet (already sprayed with Pam or other cooking spray)and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Time will vary depending on thickness of batter. Don't overcook. Pull them out when still a bit soft as they will get firmer as they sit. Let cool 20 min. then cut into bars and refrigerate.

I eat these for breakfast or a snack. If you find an interesting variation on this recipe, let me know and I'll post it!
