
Howard Mango
Moonface
A veteran character ator, Howard has performed throughout Southern
California, New York and many places in between. He has been
performing as well as a producer and director for the past 35
years. Howard is pleased to be performing with the Showboaters
for the first time in one of his signature roles, Moonface Martin,
public enemy 13, in which he previously appeared for Fullerton CLO,
and several other companies.
Howard
has received critical acclaim for his portrayals
of Fagin in Oliver, Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, Daddy
Warbucks in Annie and Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.
He has performed the role of Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls
for more than 300 performances. His comic timing has been
touted by the LA Times as "Impeccable".
Other roles include, Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, The
Dentist/ Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Herbie in Gypsy,
Sitting Bull in Annie Get Your Gun, Sammy Fong in Flower
Drum Song and Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way
to the Forum. Howard
produced the Cerritos Center's production of Man of La Mancha,
Starring Robert Goulet, as well as one of the first productions of Peter
Pan with Cathy Rigby. He has directed John Raitt in South
Pacific and shared the stage with John Ritter in West Side Story.
Most recently he has appeared as Professor Marvel and The Qizard in The
Wizard of Oz for Saddleback CLO, and directed the Long Beach
Playhouse's 75th Anniversary Celebration. Professionally
Dr. Mango is an audiologist and vestibular physiologist and serves
as executive director of Newprt-Mesa Audiology and Ear Institute,
one of the country's leading centers for the diagnosis and treatment
of hearing, dizziness and balance disorders
