Jens comes from a long line of musicians
and performers starting with his great grand father who originated
the "Christy Minstrels", hence the "New". With
a concert piano playing grandmother who was the first woman to
play the harp on the radio, to music writing cousins, the talent
was genetic. As a pit playing trumpet player it wasn't long
before he climbed on the stage and played the bass drum as
Arvid in "Guys and Dolls" and multiple rolls in
"Scrooge". His construction experience led to set design
with accolades for "Brigadoon", "Fiddler",
"Working",
"Rags", and "Music Man". As a pastor, Jens has
been challenged by the condition of his character, Elisha who is
definitely in need of a 12 step program!
