Verses from the Holy Qur`an:
General Quotations:
"God! There is no deity but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, the Eternal.
No slumber can seize Him , nor sleep. All things in heaven and earth are His. Who could intercede in His presence without His permission? He knows what appears in front of and behind His creatures. Nor can they encompass any knowledge of Him except what he wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them, for He is the Highest and Most Exalted." (Surah 2: 255)
" God is the light of the heavens and the earth. The parable if His light is like a niche in which there is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is like a brilliant star. It is lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the East nor of the West, the oil of which is nearly luminous without any fire touching it. Light upon light! God guides to His light who He finds worthy. And God sets forth parables fro human beings, and God does know all things." (Surah 24: 35)
"When My servants ask you about Me: I am near. I answer the call of the supplicant calling upon Me. So they should also answer me and trust in Me that they might be guided." (Surah 2: 186)
"And do not make mischief on earth after it has been set straight and call upon Him in fear and hope. God`s mercy is with those who do good." (Surah 7: 56)
"The faithful are brothers and sisters. Therefore make peace between your brothers and sisters and be mindful before God so that you may attain mercy." (Surah 49: 10)
" You calm soul, return to your Lord, satisfied and with His satisfaction. Enter then among My servants, enter My garden." (Surah 89: 27 - 29)
" God`s friends will know neither fear nor sorrow." (Surah 10: 62)
On Tolerance:
"Those who believe, and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians, - any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." (Surah 2: 62)
" ( They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right, - (for no cause) except that they say, "our Lord is God". Did not God check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of God is commemorated in abundant measure. [.....]" (Surah 22: 40)
" [....] to each of you We have given a legal and ethical frame and a path. If God had wanted, He could have made you one single community. However, He wants to test you with what He gives you. Therefore compete in good actions. It is to Him that you all will return, then He will enlighten you about what you used to differ in." (Surah 5: 48)
" To each community We have given rites that they follow. They should not therefore dispute with you in this matter. Invite them to your Lord, for you are following the straight path. But if they do dispute with you, say, God knows best what you do. God will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that in which you used to differ." (Surah 22: 67 - 69)
" You people, We have created you as males and females and made you nations and tribes so that you may know each other. In God` s sight, the most honourable among you is the one who lives in the greatest awareness of God` s presence. God knows and perceives." (Surah 49: 13)
The  Path of Righteousness:
" And what will make you comprehend what the uphill road is? (It is) the setting free of a slave, or the giving of food in a day of hunger to an orphan, having relationship, or to the poor man lying in the dust. Then he is of those who believe and charge one another to show patience, and charge one another to show compassion. These are the people of the right hand." (Surah 90: 12 - 18)

"Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in God and in the day of judgment, and in the angels and the scripturs and the prophets; and who gives his money - even if he himself needs it - to relatives and orphans, to the poor and the travellers on the way, the beggars and the prisoners; and who holds up prayer; and pays
zakah; and those, who fulfill their oaths and are steadfast in misfortune, need and danger: They are those who are true and God - fearing." (Surah 2: 177)
