The T.E.A.M. (Touch 'Em All Ministry) is now in operation. As part of this ministry, you can play several roles. Some role will ask that you be active all the time, while others will only ask something of you occassionally. The roles that I am talking about are Mentor, Backdoor worker, or Care Giver. Mac Madden is in charge of the Mentor part of this ministry. It is designed to provide new members in our age range with a "Mentor," someone to help them find their way around and to check up on them. Esther Pipkin is the director for our class of the Care Giver ministry section. The goal of this section is to provide for the needs/cares of members as well as just to be there for them if they ever need help. The Backdoor worker ministry is the responsibility of Lex Mitchell (me). This section is responsible for trying to reach all the members that have come to the Single's class and then gone away. I will occassionally call on others for assistance in helping me contact these people.
Upon being called by me, I would ask that you try to reach the individual you are given. A visit to them at home or work would be preferable but sometimes an address is not available. In times like these a phone call is completely acceptable. Email may also be acceptable if you can not reach the individual by either of the two previous methods. We want to let the individuals know that we care for them by taking the time to talk with them.
