Having done a bit of research on the subject, as these fights were popular in roman times, it seems that the larger and better armed grizzly usually has the measure of the silver back, although occasionally the tables are turned [usually due to gorillas being high on cocaine laced lucozade] The fact is that for all its intelligence the gorilla has poor eyesight and just cant see that bear coming with its big right-handers, quickly the gorillas unprotected fleshy face gets cut, and blood impairs the vision even more, resulting in victory for the grizzly.
