The engine sequenced properly. Soon a small stream of ions was leaving the controlled nozzels at the back of the ship. I checked my course, and I was still not too far off, so I let the autopilot take over and put the engines on medium drive.
Then I went to my relaxation couch, picked up my electronic notepad and started to journal.
I kept the calming wave sounds with the music playing while I wrote.
Days later, I was still on course, dealing with my moodiness, and I was still weeks away from Earth station.
Suddenly I realized that my important agenda was back on track and so was my cargo.
My important agenda was to reach Earth station and drop off a new serum grown at Mars station. A serum to stop the plague that had gotten loose on Earth.
Eventually I arrived at Earth Station. I sent the Mars serum over via airlock on the automated robot palet.
The residents of Earth Station in charge of the airlock thanked me for the Mars serum, and wished me well.
I then undocked and redocked with the automated refueling modules to collect the fuel for the ion drives.
