HulWiz

Beta 1.5

Welcome to HulWiz, a boat-hull wizard... in other words, software that creates something by asking you a bunch of questions and then building a file for you.

HulWiz generates a file of the format used by Gregg Carlson's Hull Designer program based upon your inputs below. Neither HulWiz, this page, or its author are associated with Mr. Carlson or Carlson Design, who own all rights to the Hull Designer program.

Gavin Atkin offers a superb tutorial on the Hull Designer program.

The hull surface generated is only a starting point for your own design. The user is strongly encouraged to take the results with a grain and a half of salt, review them carefully, and especially for challenging or dangerous projects to consult a qualified naval architect. Please review the disclaimer .

Note especially that hulls produced that are less than 5' long, more than 30' long, or have bizarre combinations of properties are often, well, iffy.

There is also a Frequently Asked Questions page.

Technical support, by email only, is available from the author.
