WWF Questions and Answers
Last updated on: December 16th, 2001
Hey everyone... In this section I will be posting all the questions you have sent to me via e-mail and of course my answers. The questions will be in white, and my response will be in yellow. If you have any WWF Questions at all, anything concerning the WWF, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll do my best to answer ya. Also, please try to keep your questions as short as possible. If you don't want your name to be mentioned when answering, please say so. Thanks!
All of the following questions were answered on December 16th, 2001!
From several people: Where do you get your news? How often is the site updated?
Ok, I put this question as #1 on purpose. I
want to clear this once and forever. The purpose of this site is to sum up everything
other wrestling sites talk about and to give you some extra news. Don't be surprised
if you read news you've already seen somewhere else on this site. All wrestling sites
post the same news, if you've noticed! I've never denied it before - most of the
news I post are from other wrestling sites. However, I make sure that they are true
at first and do as much checking as I can. That's why you probably don't read a lot
of news on backstage relations or on stuff like that on this site. The reason is
because I can't know if those news are true! Sites like 1wrestling.com have been
criticized a lot for posting backstage things that have nothing to do with reality
(J.R. himself talked about that in his last Ross Report). How often is this site
updated? I found out that a lot of people are confused on that as well. Only the
Rumors
and News page is updated 24/7 and that
is when possible!!! All the other sections are updated weekly. I have a life of my
own, and running a site isn't that easy. If I had more time dedicated to this site,
then all the sections will be updated more often, but i don't. The WWF Report is updated twice a
week usually. The WWF Games section is not ran by
me, and it's updated when there is something to mention or whenever Grant can (shoutout
to Grant by the way!). The WWF Poll and the WWF Pic are also updated weekly.
I hope that you guys are clear on that, because some people weren't and they posted
stuff on the message board that was ridiculous Well, I hope everything's clear now,
and once again, thanks to every one for reading. One more thing to mention - when
I do PPV coverage, I usually post what other sites have, because I am not really
good at reporting, so I let professionals handle it! If you'd like to be a reporter
or columnist for this site, please fill in the application in the Columnist/Reporter section. Hope
you enjoy the questions and answers below!
From reader tommy_d: Hi,
I've been trying to find a great site for backstage WWf rumours for ages and now
I found your site I'm quite pleased. By far the best rumours site, man! Well done.
I've been a big wrestling fan for just over a year now. I am 18 and live in the UK
(unfortunately). I was quite shocked to hear about the WWF's recent bad ratings (although
I admit to being a big Undertaker fan and annoyed that he has been repeatedly screwed
out of the title - bad storylines). Are the WWF in some kind of bad financial trouble
or something? I hope not, cause then I wouldn't be able to dribble at the lovely
Stephanie. I read that thing about Y2J and Steph becoming an item which I actually
think is quite a good storyline (I wish me and Steph were an item!).
Talking of Steph, that site she has, wwfsteph.com - there is this address on it something
like [email protected] which I have to say is totally not controlled by her at
all. At least I don't think it is. I asked her if she was really married to HHH,
which I have now found out to be untrue. You probably already know that the two did
in fact date once though, away from the ring storyline.
Well, thanks for the compliment. It's nice
to hear from a UK fan! Interestingly enough, this site has a lot of UK fans. Big
shoutout to our fans in the UK! Anyway, back to your questions. Are the WWF in some
kind of bad financial trouble or something? I wouldn't say they are in a big trouble
or anything, but they are not doing too good. That is due to the problems they brought
on themselves with XFL, which caused a lot of money. Other than that, recently they
had to fire 30 people, due to financial reasons. They are not doing good financially,
but they have money, so they are not in that big of a trouble. As far as Stephanie
goes... The last rumor was that she was dating Triple H, and also Chyna keeps saying
that everywhere she goes (kinda annoying.) To be honest with you, I totally believe
that Steph is going out with Hunter... If you remember when they kept showing the
materials of his surgery, Stephanie was crying and it wasn't fake, it just couldn't
have been. So I think they are, but hey, don't quote me on that. As far as WWFSteph.com,
most of the questions are not answered by her and as you know, that site is already
closed. Thanks!
A lot of readers sent this one in: Who is your favorite diva?
Um... I have no clue! When it comes down to
wrestling skills, I have to say that recently Trish Stratus has been doing great.
Of course, she's no Chyna or anything. As far as who's the hottest diva, I'd probably
go with Stephanie and Trish.
From reader calvin: The WCW stars that do not have a job now are backstage of course. Are any of them going to be considered into the current story lines. I have heard you talking about Ric Flair possibly bringing the WCW or some of it back to tv. If not, what are the WCW stars doing to keep up with the others?
Good question. The Alliance superstars are
indeed backstage on every show, well lately they haven't been though. Anyways, they
still wrestle on house shows, not all of them, but the ones the WWF plans to use
in the future. As you can see, the ones they want to push are already on TV (Hurricane,
Lance Storm, Booker T). The big "draft" on January 7th is now said to almost
surely not happen, so we'll have to wait for that. But yes, if the Alliance stars
return, Ric Flair will probably have something to do with it.
Another one from reader tommy_d: I got a question. It says on the rumours page that Steph has told the writers not to push her character too much. Is this just because she wants time off?
I don't believe that's the main reason, but
it could be a part of it. The main reason she wants that is because the McMahans
have toooo much TV time and get a lot of criticism for that. With the InVasion/Alliance
storyline gone, Steph and Shane are now off TV. Steph will probably be back soon
since Triple H is returning. If she isn't, then we'll see what road the WWF is taking.
As far as Shane goes, he won't be around for a while, since he's in the new WWF Media
Team.
From several readers: What's "heal" and "face" ?
Wow, didn't expect that... Ok, terminology
time. Heal means "a bad guy" and Face is "a good guy." For example..
Right now (Dec. 16), Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock are faces, since the crowd
cheers them and is always behind them and they don't diss the audience. Heals are
Vince McMahan, Y2J, Kurt Angle, Booker T, since they are the ones that cheat, feud
with the faces, and stuff like that. I was surprised how many people sent this question
in.
From several readers: How will the WWF split in 2? How's that going to work?
All right, it was about time we get to the
point. I'll try to explain this now. Before I begin, I'll just say that in the last
3 days rumors had it that this separation might not happen, because the WWF is not
ready for it yet. So it will most likely not happen on the planned January 7th edition
of RAW from Madison Square Garden. Now... Here's what they had planned. They wanted
to split the roster in 2 with the Alliance stars and some of the WWF stars being
one organization, and the rest of the WWF being the second one. The WWF even bought
the domain "wwfwcwdraft.com" If you go there, you'll notice that you'll
be re-directed to WWF.com. They were planning on having Ric Flair (most likely) and
Vince go at it and separate the company in 2 different organizations, but the second
one will not be called WCW. The WWF wants nothing to do with WCW anymore. It would
be like WWF 2. Just like in baseball you have 2 leagues, they would have 2 organizations
that would have their own shows and PPVs, and at the bigger PPVs (WrestleMania, King
of the Ring, SummerSlam, etc.) the 2 would feud each other. However, it's not yet
known if that will ever happen. What you have to remember is that the main goal they
have is to separate their roster in 2 and each organization will have their own TV
shows and their own PPVs, house shows, etc. I hope this answers the question good.
If it doesn't, you can always write me an e-mail and i'll try to get into it more.
From reader patrick: Hi, awesome site. I check on the rumors and news when I can. Quick question - Will Undertaker ever go back to old-school Taker? I think that'd be cool.
Wow, let's just say that a lot of people want
to see that. Am I one of them? Sure, I guess. Ever since Undertaker turned heel a
couple of weeks ago, his character never really shaped up well. The WWF put him in
a good feud with RVD, but it's not as big as Taker can go. For example, on SmackDown!
(from December 13th when he and Y2J faced Rock and RVD in the main event) the crowd
was cheering him. They don't know whether to boo him or cheer for him, and that's
not a good thing. They'll shape up his character soon, I'm sure, but if things don't
work out, I will not be surprised if we see Taker go back to old school, taking souls.
I don't see it happening, personally, but you never know. hey, it's the WWF, as easy
as they are to predict, they always have a big surprise waiting on us! As far as
Taker goes, don't forget that the writers are doing their best to making us not realize
that Taker and Kane will have to meet one day and talk stuff out. If it happens down
the road, Kane will definitely be the face, and I won't be surprised if he finally
defeats his "big bro." (though they are supposed to be half brothers.)
From reader m_foley34: Hey, I am a reader of your site and I want to ask you a question. I am a big fan of Mick Foley and I really want to know more about what happened that he had to leave. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Hey, we all are big fans of Mick! Here's the
deal. Mick Foley was eager to return to WWF TV 2 months ago. Vince knew that it simply
wouldn't make sense to have Foley back when the Alliance angle was about to end.
However, he wanted back badly and since Vince respects Foley, he turned Regal heel
and opened up the position of the WWF Commish for Mick again. Mick returned, but
he had nothing to do!!! There were simply no storylines for him, as they couldn't
come up with anything. They had a feud with Regal in mind, but Foley said he has
2 or 3 big fights left in him and 1 of them will not be with William Regal. Then
they were thinking of a Foley vs. Flair thing, or Foley vs. Vince, when Foley would
join with Ric Flair in the new organization (that could still happen by the way).
However, when the WWF didn't put Mick on TV for 2 shows, 1 of which in Long Island,
NY, where he's from, Mick got really upset. Another thing he was sad over is exactly
what he said on RAW - the situation in the WWF. Too many titles, too many wrestlers,
a chaos! Mick wanted out of the WWF and Vince agreed. Foley with the help of Paul
Heyman wrote his final segment (the plane segment with McMahan) and left. The important
thing here is that the left at good terms, and that Vince could call him back at
any time, and Mick will probably agree to return, since he really loves the WWF and
he loves the fans! To be honest with you, I think he shouldn't have left. As you
can see, there aren't so many titles on TV right now, and other things are starting
to get better as well.
From reader wogboy: hi i like ur site i wanna know if wcw is really owned by vince is that true. i also wanna know when is vince coming back to the wwf and 1 more thing is it true when triple h comes back he brakes with his wife Stephanie and stays in the wwf
Yes, indeed. WCW is really owned by Vince McMahan.
The Shane/Vince ownership angle was just for WrestleMania and for storyline purpose.
When is Vince coming back to the WWF? Well, he's back already, as you know.... Is
it true when Triple H comes back he breakes up with his wife Steph to stay in the
WWF? Well, that was a part of the Alliance angle, now that the Alliance is gone,
they are thinking of other storylines for Triple H. The big question is, is he going
to be a face or a heel?
From reader Matt H: I recently read about WWF giving RVD, Y2J and Kurt Angle WrestleMania main event status. Do you think that's a good idea? I sure as hell don't! Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Well... I have to say that they pretty much
don't have a choice! Think about it... Yes, sure Austin, Undertaker, Kane, they are
all big names... but they are getting old. They need younger superstars to be main
eventers, otherwise the WWF will become what WCW was. I definitely think that all
3 men should be on that level because they are all good. Y2J's persona and character
right now is really really sad in my view because he sucks as a heel, but that's
just my opinion. A lot of people like it that way. The way I see it is, the guy can't
even cut a good promo as a heel. C'mon, Y2J not being able to cut a promo? When was
the last time that happened? He's given us the best ever promos when he was a face,
and that's where he should be, making fun of Stephanie, feuding with Benoit, and
getting on Triple H's nerves. Yes, sure, it's been done, but they can still do it
by adding new things to it. The creative team needs new ideas. Anyway, Y2J is after
all the 1st ever Undisputed Champ, and that's a big step toward making him a big
wrestler. As far as Kurt Angle goes, i've said it a lot of times before, and I'll
say it yet again - one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen in the ring! The guy
is just awesome, his wrestling skills are at picking up. The reason? Just like Triple
H, Kurt loves that business, his heart is set on it, he'll give everything for it!
Who else would return to the ring after suffering a major concussion? (remember Triple
H vs. Angle vs. Rock when HHH tried the pedigree on the table but the table broke
too early?). As far as RVD goes, he's the man and he's proven it. So yup, those 3
deserve that main event status. The other 2 wrestlers to be headed this way are Test
and Edge.
From reader Pete 56: What do you think Rikishi's role is going to be now that he's back?
Definitely a big player! Rikishi's act seems
old to me though. The crowd is not so much into him, but the WWF keeps giving him
big feuds. For example, right now he's feuding with Kurt Angle, who is definitely
a main event player. Rikishi's been a big player lately and he'll remain one until
his act completely runs out. A possible switch of characters, then, might be expected.
With the Island Boys possibly being hired, Rikishi will have his own partners.
That will do it for now. Keep sending your questions and thoughts. I have more
questions, I know, but don't feel offended if I didn't post yours. I'll try to do
so next time I update this section.

All of the following questions were answered on October
11th, 2001!
Hi, I am a reader of your site ever since it was created. Good job! I have a question. I was watching an old WCW tape and I noticed that the ring in there is smaller than the ring in the WWF. I just wanted to know if I was right or wrong?
Yup Yup... correct! The old WCW rings are smaller than the ones the WWF uses... Thanks for the comment on the site whoever you are (the reader didn't leave his/her name which is a shame since they've been reading for a while).
From reader Jacob: When are the old WCW wrestlers coming back to the WWF?
OMG, if I hear this question one more time, i'll puke... Since Jacob is a new readers to the site I'll answer it... It's been posted in my reports and news, so if you want more info, just go to the main page and check them out... No one is expected before 2002 for no. Scott Steiner, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are the names that might return with Steiner and Flair almost in the WWF already. GOLDBERG will not be wrestling for the federation for sure. This might change at any moment though. Sting is done with wrestling, he's over 40 and wants to spend time with his family. Lex Luger doesn't want to be involved and has invested his money from wrestling right enough to have a good future and live off of them. Ok, I hope this answers all the confusion out there.
From reader Marthin: GREAT SITE! I GOT A QUICK QUESTION. WHO IS THE YOUNGEST WWF SUPERSTAR??? I THINK IT'S JEFF HARDY
That's a tough one... I am sure it is not Jeff Hardy though. The Hardyz, Lita, Essa Rios, Torrie Wilson are some of the very young WWF Superstars. I believe that right now Stacy Kiebler is the youngest one, she's 19. I can't tell you for sure though.
From reader Jessica: Is it true that Shane McMahan used to be a referee?
Yes, if you are a fan of old-school PPVs and you have the tapes of them, you might see him in one or 2. That was a long time ago, when we weren't supposed to know he's Shane-O-Mac, the son of Vince. Hey, speaking of Vince, he was just a commentator. I hated his voice... I really feel bad for J.R...
This one was asked by a bunch of people: Is there going to be another edition of your WWF Quiz?
Well... I seriously wasn't planning on it, but ever since the people found out that the winner of the first quiz won whatever he wanted from WWFShopzone.com, a lot of people started e-mailing or IMing me with that one... The answer is YES, there will be another edition of the WWF Quiz and the prize is going to be the same - one merchandise item from WWFShopzone.com of your choosing.
From reader Mellissa: Hi Eddie. I like your site. I was just wondering who is your favorite wrestler? Mine is Jeff Hardy because he's the hottest guy ever! Thanks!
Boy... If I were to count all the e-mails I get with girls saying Jeff Hardy is the best, it might take me about 2 days to count them all... Before I answer, thanks for actually remembering my name, something you really don't need, but still, thank you! :)... Ok, who's my favorite wrestler? I really like a lot of wrestlers... When it comes to entertaining, Y2J and The Rock are the best on the mic. When it comes to straight wrestling skills, I have to say that Rhyno, Test, Kurt Angle, Triple H, and Chris Benoit are definitely the ones that I like a little more than the rest.
From reader Chris: I have been watching wrestling for over 20 years now. I have not missed one single WWF show or WCW show. I used to tape Nitro on Mondays to make sure I watch both WWF and WCW. Lately, I've been checking out a lot of sites and I have sent the letter I am sending you to all of them as well, maybe about 20 WWF-related sites. No one has ever posted this letter so I am hoping you will. I want to know what is the deal with Hulk Hogan? Or, if I have to be more exact, what is everybody's problem with Hulk Hogan? The man was a legend in the WWF, and he was a hell of a wrestler in WCW. I grew up watching him wrestle in probably the best matches professional wrestling has seen. Please, try to explain to me what is the deal with Hogan. If your readers want to contact me and talk about it, I have attached my e-mail address.
Before I answer, Chris wanted his e-mail to stay anonymous. After talking to him on-line, he said that if you want to contact him you can do it through me. Back to Hulk Hogan.. ever since he went to WCW and left the WWF, people started talking... After some time in WCW, they started "dissing" Hogan and some people felt that he was the one making sure the young guys don't get a spot on TV. He left the company in a humiliating and rediculous match and ever since has been trying to get his own promotion. That didn't work out. The latest on Hulk Hogan is that he has been contacting Vince McMahan about a possible one-night return to the WWF for his final match. People were stating that it might happen at WrestleMania 18, but it's very doubtful and I don't believe in it. Here's my point of view..... I have to agree with you, no matter what is said or done, Hulk Hogan is a legend in this business. Hulk Hogan made this business what it is today. You are right, some of his matches are just unforgettable. A moment which truly stands in WWF History is Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant at WrestleMania, a moment that I am sure will be remembered. Hulk Hogan's feuds with Andre the Gian and Ric Flair are feuds that will be always thought of as classics. I will not go into the nWo angle because there is nothing I need to say about that, it's something that was big and still is and might be one day. I will say that I have all the respect for Hulk Hogan and maybe his only wrong step was retiring so late. Even though he still has it, he should have let more young guys get on TV. If you think about it though, Billy Kidman became famous because of Hulk Hogan.. talk about letting young guys be on TV.. Anyways, a lot of sites have been talking smack about him and consider him to be nothing. Its their own opinions but I still think that a little respect should be given to Hulk. I don't know why your letter was rejected, probably because it contains thoughts that other bigger sites won't go into, but i thought I would, just to make your day...
From reader Jason: I've been readin ur site for a while and i like the new look better. my question for u is what will happen to Kronik?
Well... you obviously have been missing some
of the stuff I post lately.. Thanks for the comment on the site!..... Brian Clark
has been fired from the WWF but Brian Adams is still there. He was sent to either
OVW or HWA (I believe it was OVW) and he'll be there for a while. However, news broke
the other day that he might just get a buy-out and leave the company. Frankly, I
don't see him making it back into the WWF on his on, and with that attitude.
From reader Michael: cool site. what's OVW and whats HWA?
Thanks!..... OVW and HWA? I use those a lot,
but I guess I never explained them. OVW is Ohio Valley Wrestling, which has televized
events and HWA is Heartland Wrestling Associatoin. They are both developmental programms
of the WWF (WWF owns them) and they are used by the federation to send their improving
or coming from injury stars.
From several readers: when are some missing wrestlers coming back?
Since a lot of you sent that one in, it's basically asking for an updated on some WWF Superstars... here it is... Grandmaster Sexay is fired for now and his comeback is doubtful... Jerry "the King" Lawler is resting and working on his marriage problems for now and a comeback may be discussed after that... Dean Malenko retired from wrestling and is working as a trainer in OVW (I posted that)... The Big BossMan is without an angle and is also close to retirement. Because of his size and frienship with Vince McMahan, most people believe that Boss Man will have a job with the WWF for quite a while (at least until he's 60). I don't expect a wrestling comeback for him, but he might return, who knows.... Read the next question for others...
From reader Johnathan: Do you know if Steve Blackman, Al Snow, ken shamrock, etc are wrestling again?
Good question Johnathan! Al Snow will be feuding with Tazz very soon. People like Steve Blackman, and Val Venis are 100% healthy and are backstage at the shows, but since the WWF roster is more full than a turkey on Thanksgiving Day, there are just no spots for them. An updated on Ken Shamrock, he's with WWA (which was ran by Vince Russo) in Australia and will be coming back soon. He'll be signing a contract with the WWF most likely since he realized he can't be working as a super fighter again.
From reader UKWrestler316: Hello from Britain! Great site, you americans should respect the great commisioner Regal better, he's great! My question is was that the real dutches of queensberry in that match between Y2J and Regal about 8 months ago?
Cheeri-o mate! Good to know we have fans in UK! Hmmm... I don't think the fans will respect Regal after he turned on Angle and helped the Alliance... anyways... your question is OLD!!! that was like months ago! Nope, I don't believe there actually is a dutchess of queensberry... you are british, aren't u supposed to know that better than me?... All I know is, that the dutches looked like a man...
From reader Matt: Hi Eddie, you gotta update your friggin' site more dude! Great work, but try upgrading at leas twice a day! I just wanted to know what are ur sources?
Hey Matt, if I upgrade the site twice a day, will you pay me money? If not, why don't you fill an application to be a repoter/columnist in the REPORTER/COLUMNIST section so I have you help me out. Ah, i have over 50 e-mails for that position anyways, which reminds me, all you people that applied, I am still thinking over who to pick. Again, there will be more than 1 column, and if you are interested simply apply. If you want to be a reporter, definitely fill the simply application HERE..... Telling you my sources? are you out of your mind? Basically, this site sums up all the news from other sites, and I post some insides news from my own sources, which i can not name.
From reader Adam J.: I was arguing with my friend over one WWF related question. I was wondering if you could help me out... I am pretty sure that the medals Kurt Angle carries around are not his real ones, but my friend says they are! Who is right?
Wow... everybody seems to be asking that question nowadays... the funny thing is that Angle's medals are already thrown away from his character... Anyways, back to your question... It's hard to say who wins your bet. In the first months when Kurt Angle came to the WWF he used to carry his real gold medals. However, he was always worried about them and even once when he was signing in a hotel, his bags got stolen and he just started screaming "I just want my medals back! Give me my medals back! Someone call the police! Someone call Vince!" He talks about it in his book, if I am not mistaken. Ever since that, he carries a copy of his original medals and the actual medals he gave to his mother to keep in a safe place. If we are supposed to listen to the WWF, Kurt Angle's gold medals are somewhere in the Denver River right now...
Do you remember how the WWF used to have the red,
white and blue all the time before? I thought of that when I saw the Smackdown! edition
after Sept. 11th. they should bring that look of the ring back!
Umm... ok?
From reader Chrissy: Is it true that the Haryz used to come out with masks?
Yes, unfortunatel I forgot what they used to call them :-( It just slipped off my mind!
OK, I got some more questions, but that's enough for now... If you are still not satisfied and need more WWF in your lifes, go to the MAIN PAGE and choose what you like from there! Thanks! I'll update that section when more questions come in! Later..
