dDear Friend,

Today I got something  very special for myself. I have had very few of them in my lifetime, but the ones that I do have, bless my life beyond words.   It is something that I have desired for a long time.  It is something so special, that at times, words cannot even begin to describe it.  It brings joy and peace, comfort in the time of sorrow, and laughter... when my heart is happy.  It brings patience, when it seems like I have none left.  It brings hope for tomorrow when tomorrow looks dim.  Through the day, it shines like the sun on my life, and at night, it brings the warmth like the glow of the moon to my soul.

Although it is very precious, it cannot be purchased for any amount of money.  I received it absolutely free.  In return for receiving it, I only have to return the joy and peace, comfort and laughter, offer the same hope, and bring the light and warmth of the sun and moon, just as it is given to me.

I am sure by now that you are wondering what I have received that can be so perfectly wonderful.  It is really very simple.  The gift that I got for myself today, is Your friendship.
