BEEF STROGONOFF
INGEDIENTS:
3-5 lbs. beef, round steak, sirloin, stew meat,
1 med. onion chopped
1/2 clove garlic, minced or 2 tab. prepared minced garlic,
2 small cans mushrooms,
4-6 beef bouillion cubes,
1 bay leaf
flour
sour cream
cooked noodles
DIRECTIONS:
Cut beef into bite sized pieces.  Melt 1/4 butter or margarine in a large skillet.  Salt and pepper to taste then  pan fry till thoroughly brown.  Do not drain.  Add onion, garlice and mushrooms.  Saute' on low heat 5-10 mins .   Add enough flour to completely and thoroughly coat meat and vegtables.  Add 4-6 cups water, depending on the size of your skillet.  It should be almost full.  Add bouillion cubes and bay leaf.  Bring almost to a boil and then reduce heat, cover and simmer 20-30 mins., stirring occasionally and adding small amounts of water if necessary.  Just prior to serving, completely stir in approx. 4 oz. sour cream.  More or less can be added according to your taste.  Heat through and serve over hot, buttered, cooked noodles.
