Q-town Revisited
Over the weekend, we took what will be closest to a summer vacation. We packed up Buki and all and headed back to Q-town, our home for eight months. We visited the handful of friends we have there, as well as our dearly missed church. Points of interest:
NO WORK!! Yay! ...although we both did visit our former places of employment, just to say "hi, we aren't doing any work here today!"
Tour de force, of course
Mini golf & bowling, fine Q-town traditions
Checking out Dave 'n' Kris' new place over BBQ and Yuengling
Introducing Buki to people (and Buki introducing his teeth to Bill's hand)
Breakfast and American Boxer, served up together
In other news, Big Ben looks fine at camp. This phrase or derivatives of it will fill out Pittsburgh area headlines for the next 3 weeks. I want to see what Parker, Haynes, Kiesel, Staley, Wilson, and Holmes do. Can't we fast forward to the preseason?
Also, a Muslim walked into the offices of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and shot five or six people over the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Nice job, Naveed Afzal Haq. You really accomplished something. Your fine work has progressed humanity and benefitted us all. I speculate that when World War III happens, it will generally be Communists and Muslims vs. capitalists, Jews, and Christians. I'd better just move to South Dakota now while nukes aren't raining down.
