SAKAL'S SONG

I will know fully
I will be fully known
I will see face to face
I will be perfect
I can believe I can believe
I will I will I will be perfect
I can believe I can believe
Heaven is made for me

Faith brings me all of these
Hope brings me all of these
Love brings me all of these
Wisdom brings God to me
I can believe I can believe
I will I will I will be perfect
I can believe I can believe
Heaven is made for me

Wisdom is God given
Love is God given
Hope is God given
Faith is God given
I can believe I can believe
I will I will I will be perfect
I can believe I can believe
Heaven is made for me

I will know fully
I will be fully known
I will see face to face
I will be perfect
I can believe I can believe
I will I will I will be perfect
I can believe I can believe
Heaven is made for me

SAKAL'S POEM

A Shiny Star

I’ll shine upon the sea of black
I’ll shine and I won’t look back
The light that’s given out by me
Will guide the path and make um free

I’ll share all the loads of care
I’ll share until my fields are bare
The gifts that I give to thee
Will always make someone full of glee

I’ll read until I get so smart
I’ll read my bible in my heart
The wisdom that it gives to me
Will help me walk daily with thee

I’ll love until all will know
I’ll love and then I will behold
My God that is as pure as snow
Will tell me how and I will know

I’ll shine because I will impart
I’ll shine upon another’s heart
I’ll tell them till God’s love arrives
Then God will tell me I am Wise

SAKAL'S BOOK

The Brown Owl

I went walking in the forest one day. I did not have to walk alone. My Dad came with me and he was big and so strong and tall. And I felt very safe with him holding my hand. But soon a loud noise broke the silence of the woods. And I heard this hoot hoot hoot. It was spooky and I was shaking. The closer I got to the sound of the noise the louder it became. I was ready to go back home. “Dad we must leave. This is spooky and I am scared.” But my Dad he just kept walking until he came beneath the tree where the loud sounds were coming from. “Look up, my child. There is no need for you to be afraid of anything. It’s just a Wise Ole Brown Owl keeping watch over all the comings and goings of the creatures of the woods.” I looked up carefully and there was this bird perched on a tree. He was so stiff. He just sat there looking over the forest. “Your right, dad. There is no reason to be afraid of him. He’s just a Brown Owl.” I had heard of the Brown Owl but I had never seen one and I had never ever heard one hoot before. “You know son, there is a story about the Brown Owl and why people think he is so Wise. A very Wise Creature of the Woods.” “Oh Dad, tell me, please.” “Well one day the Brown Owl came upon two Elephants standing by a water hole. The hole was only big enough for one Elephant to get a drink out of at a time. But they both wanted into the water for they were so hot. It was a very torrid day and they had walked for miles and miles to try to find water in the dreaded drought of the year 1854. They had sore feet and knew that water would make them feel good and also the insects had been bothering them on their long trek there. So rolling in the cool water would really feel good to them. Well neither Elephant would budge and move over and let the other one get into the water. So every time one would try to go in the other one would stop them and vice a versa. It was a real sight to behold. The water did neither one of them any good. The Brown Owl had flown in and was perched upon a treetop watching all of this commotion and smiling at himself. He thought you know someone has to intervene. Now the Brown Owl liked to sit on his perch and ‘Look”. That’s all he wanted to do was to ‘Observe’. He knew it was what he did best. And he liked looking down on all the Creatures of the Woods. But he knew this was a mess down below and he felt obligated to move in and tell them how to solve their problem. So he began to shake the tree and things began to fall on them. This stopped them cold. They did not want anything else stealing their water hole. Then Mr Brown Owl swooped down and perched on a very low branch so they could hear him. “Mr Elephant Grey, you must stop this right now and Listen.” Well Mr Elephant was so startled he did just that very thing. “Yes, Mr Owl smiled Mr Elephant Blue, what can we do for you.” “Well, you can stop this fight right now and I see you have been distracted enough to do that very thing. Now neither one of you must go into the water for if you do there will not be enough for even one to drink let alone two of you for you will make it a mud hole. And you’ll get all muddy which will make you hotter. You must both stand at the edge of the water hole and swill the water up with your trunks and when you take your fill of drink then swill up some more and spray it on one another until you have both cooled off completely. See without the other you would stay hot. But because you have each other now you will be cool. And there will be no reason for you two to fight ever again.” “Now I must get back upstairs. I have work to do watching all the Creatures of the Woods. Well you never saw any happier Elephants than Mr Elephant Grey and Mr Elephant Blue. For they assuaged their thirst and got cooled down all because of Mr Brown Owls intervention. And for the first time in their lives they realized they needed one another. This made them happy too. For they had gained Wisdom. And it all came from Mr Brown Owl. “Thank you, Mr Brown Owl. You are the Wisest Creature of the Woods. You do have a tough job keeping us all quiet.” “Your welcome. Bye now” So Mr Brown Owl got his reputation that way for the Elephants told everybody they saw. “Oh Dad that is a lovely story. I’m not shaking anymore. I think you distracted my attention with your little Lovely Wise Brown Owl Story. Thank you so much. And you are right he was a very Wise Brown Owl. I must remember this story every time I see a fight. I will tell them, STOP YOU NEED EACH OTHER.” That’s Wise my Son.
