These are some of the bands I've played with over the past fifteen years or so since I moved to California from St. Louis, Mo. They are listed in order, from oldest to most recent. To check out my original music click here.
The first major group I found myself in was The Evil Jims. We were togther for over four years and had lots of good and bad times together. More good than bad, I'm happy to say, but, ultimately, we broke up and moved on to new projects. We played a diverse and unusual mix of covers and originals spanning different music styles from blues, to metal, to classic rock, to funk. It was completely normal for us to play songs by Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Bill Withers, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin back-to-back.

These are samples from an unfinished three song original demo. The only copy of it I could find was on a dusty, twelve-year old cassette, so turn it up a little bit, excuse the poor sound quality, and enjoy.

HILL
Hill was a really fun band in was in for several years, mostly at the same time I was in Size 84. Founded by our namesake and lead singer/bass player Steve Hill (he's the ugly mug on the left), we played all original music in a style inspired by old-school punk bands like the Sex Pistols. We didn't stop there, though, and went on to write many songs in a style all our own. All of these samples feature Steve Hill on lead vocals, except for Hey Renea, which I wrote and sing lead on.
St. Mark's Square
Hey Renea
Mean Streak
Close Your Eyes
Size 84 was my most recent and favorite band. We had a great, full sound, with two guitarists, bass, drums, keyboards, and a backup vocalist/percussionist. The band specialized in classic rock and blues, but threw in a bit of motown and R&B influence at times for flavor. Good times...
Brian Levine - lead guitar, lead vocals
Terry Wilde - guitar, vocals
Chip Ruychaert - drums, backing vocals
Joe Kievit - bass guitar
John Gunset - keyboards, vocals
Kim King - vocals, percussion
SIZE 84
These are samples from the Size 84 band's self-produced demo, recorded sometime around early 2001.
