Levie Yamazaki-Gray   Framer's  Biography
Levie Yamazaki Gray is the owner and resident framer at the Moloka Frame Shop & Gallery.
He is a graduate of the advanced program at the American Picture Framing Academy.
Mr Yamazaki-Gray is no stranger to the art world.  In 1984, he was the foreman overseeing all construction and renovations at the Vermont Studio School in Johnson, Vt.  Living close to the School, he continued to be a part of this community, both as a woodworker and craftsman and for several years wearing his other hat as the resident bodyworker and massage therapist.. Levie moved to  Moloka'i in 2003 so that he could again have a life on the sea after being landlocked in Vermont for 25 years. For his first two years on Molokai he lived aboard his 38 foot sloop Mana o'i'o ( which means ' faith' in Hawaiian)..

Levie is a long time builder and woodworker. He has built more than 15 houses, including his current home in Kaunakakai,  and has owened his own construction company which specialized in work on custom timber frame homes.

As founder and owner of the Moloka Frame Shop & Gallery, Levie's goal is to offer reliability, convience, quality workmanship, and a wider variety of services to residents and visitors of Moloka'i.

He is always happy to explore design ideas and options as well as to discuss archival and conservation cosiderations for Fine Art, Photos,  and Memorabilia.

                                                  Give him a call.
