I am a registered Civil Engineer (License # 0060289), born on January 1965, in Santa Rita Pampanga, Philippines, sixth son of Marcelino and Belen Buan's (Peace be upon them) nine offspring. |

I attended six years elementary and four years secondary in a public school in our place, (1972-1982). At the age of thirteen (13) while I'm attending secondary school and till I graduated in college, I experienced the hardship in life to succeed and fulfill my ambition. In 1982 I enrolled Civil Engineering at Guagua National Colleges (GNC), graduated in March 1987. During my college, I was elected as Vice Chairman of Integrators Association in Engineering Department (1985-1986) and President of Philippine Institute Of Civil Engineer (PICE), GNC Chapter (1986-1987). May 1987 I passed the Board Examination for Civil Engineering License conducted by Professional Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Philippines.
On July 1993, I got married with Africa Batas-Limos. We had our first baby girl in 1995, April Anne and another baby girl in 2005, Aicah Levin. |

February 1988, I started to work in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a Civil Engineer (my first job) in Houssam Trading and Contracting Company (HTCC). HTCC core business is construction of various telecommunication infrastructures, Air-conditioning system, and Distribution of various telecom materials and equipment. During my 6 years employment with this company, I gain a lot of knowledge and experienced in construction of Fixed Telephone Facilities both on underground cabling and civil works (Outside Plant Works) . I gain knowledge on OSP design, Logistic, Project execution/supervision, Preparation of BOQ & as-built Quantities, and As-built Documentation (i.e. redlines, acceptance documentation, etc..) |

April 1994, I decided to resign from my job in Saudi Arabia and go back to my homeland (Philippines) to try possible opportunity in the Philippines, because during that time Telecom industry in Philippines is booming . June 1994, I started to work in Philippines and employed as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Philnet Ericsson, Inc. (now Ericsson Telecommunication, Inc.). The main business of this company is Design, Engineering, and Implementation of Fixed/Wired Telephone Networks and Wireless Network (GSM). I worked with this company from June 1994 - March 1999. During my employment in Philnet Ericsson, I received two (2) awards (Outstanding Employee) and three promotions (Assistant QS - QS - Sr. QS - Project Engineer). During my more than 5 years employment with this company I gain more knowledge on Project Management, Scope Management, Contract Administration, Preparation of As-built Quantities, Invoicing, and Project Reconciliation (checking design vs. as-built vs. invoice).
In April 1999, I accepted the job offered in Saudi Arabia by NORCOSULT Saudi Arabia (NSA) as an OSP-Project Controller. NSA is providing Project Management and Consulting services to Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC). During my employment with NSA I was assigned to handle the Project Reconciliation of STC-Lucent TEP 6 project ( 4 Billion USD Project). My main responsibility is to reconcile the entire project, checked and compared the As-built quantities Vs. As-built Drawing Vs. Invoices of Lucent.
Again, Dec. 1999 I accepted the new job offered by Ericsson Telecommunication, Inc. in the Philippines (Fully own and subsidiary of ERICSSON in Sweden). I worked with this company as Project Procurement Manager (Vendor Management) until May 2005.
May 2005 - August 2006, I was hired by Ericsson AB - Dhaka Branch Office as Consultant for Quantity Surveying, Network Rollout and Services Costing, and Supporting Vendor Management in RFQ/RFP Preparation, Evaluation of SP Proposals and selection of service providers or subcontractors.
Now, I'm currently working as Strategic Sourcing Manager - for Direct Materials and Services (DM&S) here in Ericsson AB, Saudi Arabia Branch Office.
