Share - A- Joy Project - Barangay Pugo La Union (Dec. 20, 2003)
Last October 2003, a generous lady came out with a brilliant and humble idea of sharing blessings for our less fortunate brothers. The idea was so touching that friends did not hesitate to join and make that idea a reality. Later, several teams were formed to identify beneficiaries, solicit donation, and package gifts items among others. Inspite of the very busy schedule, the groups' desire and persistency prevailed.
Last Dec. 20, 2003, a group of generous and benevolent people visited a small and humble barangay in Pugo La Union (200 KM north of Manila) to put a warmed smile to children and to their parents. A small program was was organized. Grocery items, clothes, toys, school supplies, books were distributed to over 100 families. A values forming games were also prepared for childrens. The experience was so touching that the group did not feel the effect of long travel, and lack of sleep.
