Eversmeyer Family - Four Generations
Johann Adolphus Eversmeyer and his wife, Katherine Margarethe Dreyer, left their village of Lotte in Prussia in the spring of 1834 to begin a new life in America. They brought along their 2 children, a son, John Adolf, age 4, and a daughter, Mary, who died during their voyage. They chose a German settlement in Lincoln Co., Missouri for their home, near the town of Wright City. They had four more children, Mary, Hannah, Frederick, and Jacob. Katherine died when Jacob was only five years old, and his father died in 1851. I am researching all of these Eversmeyer children's families, in particular, the eldest son, John A., of whom my husband descends.  Contact us: [email protected]
