Yes, it's true.

Why, I remember the days when she was young. The way we loved each other unconditionaly. The way we'd always have each other's backs. But now, she is growing up. She is rebelling.

When once she'd stay by my side until the dawn broke, she now stays outside into the wee hours, past her curfew.

When once she'd sit with me and purr and let me pet her for hours, she now avoids me and wants to go out all the time with her other punk kitty friends.

I tell her it's a dangerous world, I try to shield her from the pain and cruelty, but it's impossible. I must let her learn her own lessons, and hope the coyotes leave her be, lest I be forced to wreak my brain-blowing-out power upon thy feeble kanine noggin.

But she will grow out of it in due time. She will mature. I know. I've been through this before. She just feels like her life is passing her by, but she will learn that she wants to spend her life with the people who loves her most: Her family.
