Could be considered part 4 of my song fic series but can also be seen as a separate story.Hello all, as if I don't have enough on my writing plate right now, my muse decides to give me two, not one, but two new song fic ideas. It's sort of like a two parter thing but I will keep each song separate so in essence it's two ideas but based on one story line. These fics could be considered apart of my song fic series or they could be read as individual stories so either way enjoy. The only thing you should know is that Lanna and Seven are already together yet had some troubles with their relationship but then sorted everything out, however now a new obstacle has appeared to possibly get in the way of our favorite couple's happiness. So now onto the legal crap.
Disclaimers: Don't own 'em, women in love with other women, and I do not own the rights to Someone by Ascension, a remixed version of the song can be found on the NYC Underground Party CD Vol 3, they do as well as Louie Devito who mixed the song I am now basing this story on. Quick and to the point, that's me. No rambling what so ever, no siry bob. None what so ever, hehe, okay I'll shut up now.
Feedback: Please with banana pancakes on top. :)
Warning: This was not beta-ed so be forewarned, mistakes love to play hide and seek in my stories.

"So have you heard of the troubles B'Elanna and Seven seemed to be going through? I had heard that things had gotten so bad between the two women that Seven had called it quits with Torres. I wonder what exactly happened. Alwell, perhaps I'll go speak with Seven about it and see if I could offer her my support as her friend willing to listen to anything she wishes to tell." Janeway had rambled on in a semi-excited state though she was desperately trying to hide it from her first officer who was sitting across from her in the ready room. It seemed that Janeway just might have been a little too happy about the past break-up of B'Elanna Torres and Seven of Nine. 'I think Janey has some left over feelings for our resident borg. Too bad Lanna and Seven had gotten back together after that last song Seven sung to Torres in the holodeck, which come to think of it, poor Janey didn't attend. Uhoh, she doesn't know they fixed their problems, she's going to try and make a move on Seven.'
Just as that realization had hit and Chakotay was about to inform the Captain that Seven and B'Elanna had indeed reconciled, his comm. badge went off and he was called away to see to some emergency personnel problem, something about someone being injured and he having to shift the duty roster around a bit. 'Damn, guess I'll have to talk to her latter.'
Unfortunately he had no idea that latter might be a bit too late as Janeway already had a plan up her sleeve to woo the now available, or so she thought, Seven of 'not hers'.
"Janeway to Seven." The Captain hailed over her comm. badge once her first officer had left her ready room.
"Seven here, go ahead Captain."
"Seven, do you think you could meet me in holodeck two tonight say around 1900 hours, after our duty shifts are over?"
"I believe that I am available Captain, are we to play a game of velocity?"
"No Seven, I had a little something else in mind, oh and would you mind getting dressed up, say wearing a nice little dress to go along with the program?"
Seven hesitated as she looked over at her companion currently standing in astrometrics with her. "Agreed Captain, holodeck 2, 1900 hours, attire dressy. I will comply."
Janeway could almost see the raised eyebrow out of curiosity. "Good, see you then. Janeway out." The dignified captain had to mentally stop herself from rubbing her hands together in delight. 'Sometimes my plans do work out.'

Later that evening, punctual as ever, Seven walked into holodeck 2 dressed in one of the very few dresses she did own, a free-flowing silk blue spaghetti strap dress, which stopped just above the knees, showing off legs that went on forever.
Looking around, Seven saw the same holodeck bar/stage program in which she first programmed to run in order for her to show her love to B'Elanna Torres. It was the same stage in which she got up and sang to B'Elanna and the same stage in which B'Elanna got up and sang to her, admitting her love for a former drone. Now that same bar was filled with crew members yet again, this time they were the actual holographic representations considering that though she was now standing to Crewman Chell, a blue man whom she just past in the hall, she figured it was safe to assume that these characters were all holographic. As she continued to look around she couldn't find Janeway in sight anywhere but did notice a table in the center left unattended. Curious as to what this program was doing running and what Janeway had planned, Seven walked over to 'her' table and took a seat.
Shortly there after, the lights began to dim and the stage lights were brought up. However, a movement in the seat next to Seven brought her attention away from the stage. B'Elanna Torres took a seat next to the ex-drone and only smiled at her before turning her attention back to the stage as Seven did the same.
Suddenly, the lights shone bright illuminating the stage as the beat began to pump out of the gigantic speakers on either side of the stage. With Harry Kim playing and mixing the records trying to look as if he was one of those professional 20th century DJ's but somehow falling short, Kathryn Janeway took center stage bouncing back and forth to the dance/techno music blaring out into the crowd with the bass pumped all the way up. The crowd going wild as they saw their usually cool, calm, and collected captain rocking to the beats. It was really a fantastic sight to see someone whom you admired and respected yet didn't think could move like that do so, on stage and in front of everyone.
As the music began to calm, with a steady rhythm playing in the background, Kathryn Janeway began to sing along with the recorded voice on the record.
"Oh, oh, ow, ow, oooo." Kathryn repeated the humm a few more times as the music quieted even more, becoming a much more sweet melody then the previously glaring bass. Holding the microphone close to her lips, Janeway began to shimmy her body in tune to the rhythm as the beat picked up again then dropped again. Looking out into the crowd, the Captain caught Seven's eyes and began to sing the words she had been dying to 'her' former drone. Stopping all movement and looking up from under her eyelashes, Janeway seductively sang the next words of the song.
I need a spirit who can touch my life
I need a voice to speak the truth
I need a soul who will be on my side
I need a heart I'll never lose
Someone like you
Somebody like you
Somebody like you
Someone like you
The beat picked up pace again as Janeway hummed the chorus again "Oh, oh, ow, ow, oooo. Somebody like you." Then the beat quieted down again and Janeway finished her plea to Seven in the next few lines of the song.
Sometimes I wonder if my dreams are wild
Sometimes I know they'll all come true
I need somebody who can move my world
Somebody who knows just what to do
Someone like you
Somebody like you
Somebody like you
Someone like you
The song came to a close pounding out a beat that made your own heart pound in your chest and your ears go thump thump. But that was nothing compared to the thunderous applause that Janeway got after finishing her song, wowing the crowd with such a dance song that no one though the Captain even knew about yet like well enough to sing it, and for giving such a great performance.
But the Captain was oblivious to all as she made her way down the stage and to where Seven was sitting, hoping and praying to be embraced by open and waiting arms. She even missed the sight of B'Elanna Torres getting up off of her seat and disappearing into the crowd, something that Seven was determined to go find out why when she was suddenly stopped by Janeway reaching her. And in a timid way, never thought capable of such a powerful and brave leader, Janeway said the one word in the human language she came to truly adore, "Seven." But before Seven could respond or Janeway could continue, the house lights suddenly went dim except for those up on stage in which illuminated a starch solitary figure standing in front of the microphone.
"Lanna?" Seven whispered wondering what B'Elanna Torres was doing up on stage. But that question was soon answered as another song began to play in the background.
